Nov. 20th, 2002 02:31 pmBored, bored, bored. But its almost 1500! After lunch, I had to drive Todd over to that 845 Marietta place for that class. I didn't realize how many roads were closed off! Its like, it took me less than five minutes to get there. But instead of turning left out of the parking lot and just go backwards the way I came, I decided to turn right, not realizing I'd be forced through two detours. Seriously, what the hell is up with Atlanta roads?! They're horrible. All the potholes and steel plates and construction. And what's wrong with Moore's Mill? Why is it like that? Its not like they're working on it or anything, its just that the sides are torn up! My poor car. I need to get something more rugged. I've talked about this before. SUVs are too big. Really, a nice sports wagon like a Subaru Legacy or an Audi s4 or s6 Avant or one of them Volvo cross-country wagons. Tha would rock! I want a new car! (Hey
isabel79, my sources tell me you're leaving for medical school. Lend me your Passat while you're gone!)
Then again, if I have a nice car, then people will expect me to drive. Well, mebbe not. I hear there are people scared to death to drive with me. I can't recall who though. I know some were chyx. Perhaps Austina and/or Holli, after that whole reenactment of the Smiths' "There is a Light That Never Goes Out" after I got freaked out that Austina was gonna accidentally mess up my radio settings like Scott did that one time? Mrs.
psychedout, Sato? Or perhaps
ladygzb? Of course, I haven't been in a position to be driving with any of the aforementioned in a while, so its not like I can rely on them being all, "Don't let Anthony drive!" Those more likely to be around haven't been freaked out enough to never ride with me again. Like Krug or Joseph or Bill. Actually, I heard Bill was like all freaked out when I went on that cursing tirade about that pizza delivery guy who almost slammed into us when we went to Williamson Brothers a few weeks ago. So much for being the "Greatest Man Alive". For some reason, I can't recall a time driving with Chris in the car, and I don't think Tara has experienced a ride in the Intimidator either. Heh, they should pray they never have to! Ha!

Date: 2002-11-21 04:58 am (UTC)"and if a double-decker bus
crashes into us
to die by your side
is such a heavenly way to die
and if a ten-ton truck
kills the both of us
to die by your side
well, the pleasure, the priviledge is mine"
after dinner, we drive home, with anthong at the wheel & austina in the front seat, and me & holli in the back seat--we get off of the interstate at howell mill, drive in the kroger direction and turn on defoors--then as we near the sharp curve, austina starts searching through anthong's radio presets & the kid freaks out, veering the car off course and we all scream--as if he wanted to re-enact the chorus of that song...
...and yes, sato got quite freaked, but i think its your language more than your driving--which is saying a lot...

Date: 2002-11-21 07:22 am (UTC)Does this really freak people out that much?! Or is it the sudden change from my shy, quiet, easy-going demeanor to a raving lunatic and back?
