Garfunkel and Oates- So one of the promos for the show, the one where Weird Al chastises themselves for calling themselves Garfunkel and Oates and making fun of two rock and roll hall of famers made me wonder if they really were in the Rock and Roll hall of fame.
clevemire said Simon and Garfunkel for sure, but I looked it up and saw Hall and Oates were indeed in there as well. And why not? They have tons of awesome songs, "Rich Girl", "Private Eyes", and of course, "You Make My Dreams", which is of course is an excuse to post my favorite scene from 500 Days of Summer:
(So
clevemire's cousin's college friend is the real life Summer, and apparently that whole movie is a lie. She hardly knew Joseph Gordon Levitt's character!)
But I digress, I was highly amused by this week's ep. Like when Riki couldn't stand it any more when those two guys were effing up those musicals and she finally had to end the "no talking" thing to correct them. Like heh, I never thought of how "that AIDS musical" could also apply to Book of Mormon. I mean, if someone says AIDS musical, of course I think Rent. But yeah, I guess in Book of Mormon, a bunch of people in that tribe they go to have AIDS, and it sort of figures into the plot, so "that AIDS musical" is not an incorrect description.
Also, I found it hilarious that Kate's guy thought she was mentally challenged or something, and that he was into it.
It was weird that they had like 4 different Lisa's when they did the Saved by the Bell, "I'm so Excited" parody.
