TV commentary:

Defiance- Dang. So Kenya really is dead, and the Kenya they found was indeed one of those Indogene look a like things. Ah, and it finally makes sense why Pottinger and Yewll were trying to steal those memories from Amanda. Since Kenya was gone, they implanted those memories into the Kenya doppelganger. Wow, Pottinger is a psycho and totally obsessed with Amanda- its not like he had Yewll make the double (I keep having to stop myself from saying clone, because its not a clone, its a former Indogene spy who they grabbed, made to look like Kenya, and then put Amanda's Kenya memories into) for some big nefarious scheme. He was just doing it to get into Amanda's pants- he was supposed to somehow rescue Kenya, and reunite the sisters so Amanda would be all thankful to him. And since fake Kenya had a limited lifespan, once she died, he'd be there to comfort Amanda. What a sick bastard!

But wow, Nolan's pretty sharp. I mean, the missing scars were a dead give away, but even before that he was suspicious, but that's pretty smart thinking, going over her memories, and then comparing ones where Amanda was present to ones where she wasn't.

Great emotional acting from Julie Benz and Jamie Murray though. Like I loved how she was able to play the conflicting emotions within Stahma. I mean, obviously, when she saw Kenya, for the first time we've ever seen, she's lost her composure. Part of it was shitting a brick that her murder (attempted murder?) of Kenya would be discovered. But it very much seemed like part of it was her hoping maybe somehow Kenya survived.

Like when she dragged Datak into the woods to find Kenya's body, when they found it, Stahma seemed kinda disappointed. Like I said, its crazy, but it seemed like Stahma both wanted to find it and not wanted to find it. And what was also a cruel twist of fate, when they went out there, Datak thought she was just playing a joke on him, like she's carrying on some charade to protect herself. He knew she loved Kenya, and just assumed her poisoning Kenya was bullshit, and she just sent her off to live somewhere far away. So she didn't even have to kill Kenya in the first place! But yeah, the way she prayed over Kenya's grave in the end, there can be no doubt that she truly loved her.

And poor Amanda as well. Even knowing it was a double, she was so wanting her sister back that she was willing to take this poor copy of her. I mean, when Stahma tried to warn her that Kenya was fake because her "sources" tell her Kenya was dead, Amanda wouldn't hear it, even threatened to kill Stahma if she kept saying such things. Which, I wonder what will happen if she ever founds out Stahma killed her sister? But yeah, since Stahma basically said Kenya was dead to try and get it through to Amanda that the Kenya there was a fake, as far as everyone knows now, Kenya is truly dead.

But heh, I like how they ended it with the double running away, so I guess they could bring Mia Kirshner back as fake Kenya. She's supposed to have a limited lifespan, but Yewll did mention a colleague in some other place who could fix her. So, she could totally have gone there, gotten fixed, and come back as good as new to throw a monkeywrench in their lives again.

Owel, I do find it hilarious how all these things blundered into each other. Stahma kills Kenya. As far as everyone knows, Kenya ran away, so Pottinger gets Yewll to make a double of her (weren't they worried what would happen if the real Kenya came back? They have no idea she's dead and Stahma killed her). But then the lab randomly gets raided by Voltanis Collective terrorists who noticed Kenya in the tank, don't realize she's a double, and are all, "Holy crap, that's Amanda Rosewater's sister, she'd make a valuable hostage!" and take her! So everyone's inadvertently effing things up for everyone else.

And who was the masked mad who kidnapped Kenya? Rafe's other son, Quentin, who had ran off looking for his mom. He found her, and apparently the monks Rafe sent her to did horrible things to try and fix her. Quentin feels his dad should've just killed her then, because she was better off dead. But I guess whatever happened on that trip somehow turned him into a terrorist?

Meanwhile, Irisa is off doing her own little thing, gathering her followers.

Oh, I forgot to mention what was up with the 4 Non-Blondes references? I mean, first they have a cover of "What's Up" at the Need/Want, and then in a later scene, they play like a weird instrumental (pipe?) version. Its kinda a random song choice to use not once, but twice.
