TV commentary:

Fargo- Frickin' frick that was a stressful episode. Dang, I was really hoping Key and Peele would survive. But pretty clever trick Lorne did with the finding out all about Key and Peele so he could cancel the FBI coming, and then luring them out with the car and sneaking up behind them. And pretty clever trick Lester did with the bear trap, did not expect that amongst the pile of clothes.

But ha, I was worried Gus would be next when Lorne came back to the cabin. But nope, Gus shot him dead, and Molly got the evidence she needed to finally get Lester.

Which, that was confusing- I moved to watching upstairs so as to not have to accidentally spoil [livejournal.com profile] clevemire when he came back from work. So I wasn't paying attention when they did the time jump and showed how much time had passed on the screen. I thought it said two years, but was it actually two weeks? Because that would make more sense since Molly is still preggers and she was only then mentioning her probable promotion to chief and Gus talking about them giving him the citation for bravery. Although, didn't he pretty much just murder Malvo in cold blood? He was on the couch with a severely wounded leg. Though I guess a guy like Malvo would be too freaking dangerous to try and hold at gunpoint until the cops arrived. Still, its practically an execution. Although I guess he could claim Malvo tried to come at him. And honestly, he probably would have, and if Gus hadn't shot him pre-emptively, he'd be the dead one.

But what the shit, there were more than a few people upset that Lorne and Lester died. Like they were wanting them to win? I mean, there was no way Malvo could live and the Solverson-Grimleys be safe. So he had to die. And like what the shit, unlike someone like Dexter or Walter White, Malvo was irredeemably evil. Its not like he killed only bad guys, or was doing bad things for an understandable, maybe even good reason. He was a psychopathic killer. Yeah, he killed that guy bullying Lester, but even if that guy was a dick, that's still an evil act, way over the line for what he did to Lester. And yeah, he did take down the Fargo crime syndicate, but only because they were trying to kill him, not to make the world a better place. He killed the former chief, who was about to be a father. Poor Jimmy James and his wife and that random girl Malvo started romancing just to befriend Jimmy James and get to his brother. They were just random middle class innocents. Lester's 2nd wife, who was a sweet, innocent lady. Also poor Key and Peele, who seemed like relatively nice Feebs. And he prolly also murdered the car salesman guy, because why would he let him live? Anyone who wanted Malvo to ride off into the sunset is a psychopath.

Same for Lester. Yeah, you felt sorry for him in the beginning, but that was before he murdered his first wife, got the former chief killed, framed his brother for it, got his second wife killed. And isn't what he did to the bully guy's wife pretty much rape? He basically intimates that he can fix her insurance claim if she fucks him, knowing full well he can't do crap about it. Lester was not a good guy. He was a little weasel who got what's coming. At least a guy like Walter White, he went down the path of evil because he was trying to help his family, but then his pride took over. Lester was just a weaselly, self serving liar.
