Woah, so Tomorrow People, Carrie Diaries, and Star-Crossed were canceled, but Hart of Dixie, Beauty and the Beast, and 100 were renewed. I mean, some of those were bound to be canceled, but there was enough blah on the schedule that a couple of them were surprisingly going to survive. I just never expected Beauty and the Beast to be one of them. I mean, it hasn't been on for months! Still, I'm glad to see two of my crushes from a decade ago (holy crap, has it really been a decade?), Kristin Kreuk and Rachel Bilson, still have their own shows. Not that I'd ever watch Beauty and the Beast, but its nice that she still has work.
I'm kinda surprised (and kinda not) that the Supernatural spin-off didn't get picked up, since it is one of the CW's more popular shows. But it wasn't very interesting, and I didn't think it didn't have any of the elements the majority of Supernatural's fans would enjoy.
TV commentary:
Vampire Diaries- I totally knew that was going to happen! When they started talking about Enzo piggy-backing on Bonnie being pulled back from the Other Side, I started thinking, "Oh, that means no one is safe, they can die, but they'll only be in the Other Side, so they can be brought back". Yeah, there is no spell to bring her back, but that's BS, like they'd really have her just fade away and die!? Obviously they're going to come up with something eventually, meaning any of the gang could totally die and just be on the Other Side, waiting to hitch a ride.
I suspected it would be Stefan when the wonder twins were all "One of you dopplegangers has to die!" It wasn't going to be Elena, because they already did the whole her in peril and them trying to get her back when Kat jumped into her. Besides while both brothers love Elena, their bond has always been stronger. Always trying to sublimate their feelings or step aside for the other concerning her.
And if she died, the brothers would go nuts and be useless. It was always Elena who could bring them back from the brink. As such, it had to be Stefan to die, Damon would be really upset, but at least Elena would be there to help him focus so he could actually do something to bring back Stefan.
Of course, the one thing that I find annoying about this arc is if these Travelers were trying to destroy witch magic, I figured the Mikaelsons would not be pleased and would help. Same for the NOLA witches. Although I guess there seemed to be a line Genevieve said once on the Originals that somehow the NOLA witch magic was different from the magic we've seen by the witches on TVD. Still, I know the Mikaelsons are busy with that huge war in NOLA, but still, you'd think the gang, or Caroline would've said something. And even if Klaus and Elijah have pressing matters, permanent death from Travelers undoing the magic that makes vampires trumps some petty war.
Plus, that would be a hell of a way to call a truce with Marcel, to team up to stop some group of randoms just killing them off in MF. I mean, the Mikaelsons and the NOLA vamps coulda ended this whole thing right quick!
Also, I'm amused they're only concerned with bringing back the only recently dead vampires. Like, they're not worried about Alaric or Jenna or Lexi. Its all, "Oh, lets save Bonnie, and I guess Enzo too since he's like really angry and stuff!" But they're not worried about their other loved ones over there?
Oh, things I did find cute- when Stefan and Elena were walking down the road, and she made him run and conk out just to amuse her. I may be a Delena shipper, but I like that he's willing to do stuff like that for her. But yeah, given Caroline was the one with Stefan when he died (and he died protecting her from Julian/Tyler!) and her breakdown, they're definitely pushing the Steroline.

Date: 2014-05-09 08:35 pm (UTC)I think the 100 is a much better show than the tomorrow people or starcrossed and I actually liked both of them. My only real question about the 100 is…
With 100 unsupervised teenagers having sex with each other without protection hoW is it possible that nobody is pregnant?
I love hart of Dixie and glad it got another season even though the show is kind of awful
