Just came back from seeing the Ring. That movie was really freaky. Left work and headed to Scott and Sato's. Austina was already there. After they took Chester for his walkies, we headed off to Baroanda. Apparently, the loaf had voted it as having the best looking staff in Atlanta. The hostess was kinda cute. Anyways, Scott verified the Chevy's story. Only it wasn't a robbery, it was some crazy guy who asked to see the manager and then shot him. The robbery was a whole different place altogether. As always, w00t boy mixed up facts and exaggerated things. Being the worry wart I was, I was worried there would be a crowd or they would move slow. But the service was nice and fast, and we had plenty of time before the movie. We killed time at Borders, and bumped into Krug, Joseph, and Bill there. But they weren't gonna see the movie.

On to the movie. That was some freaky stuff. Sato had grabbed onto my arm during the movie, which made me a little less freaked (I am such a wuss!) As it got near the end, boy was it scary. I was like, "Good, its over!" but there was still more! I should've expected it, as i had scene part of that scene in one of the commericals and it hadn't occurred yet. Austina had latched onto my arm and started digging her nails into it. I was trying to cover my eyes (again, I am such a wuss), but as Austina had one arm, I tried to get the other, but Sato had held firmly onto that. But that didn't stop my arm from instinctively trying to move toward my face. So she was all "You're breaking my arm!", well when she wasn't screaming in Scott's ear. But it was good, I enjoyed it a lot, despite being scared out of my mind. Scott and Sato had the Japanese version at home. They said the Hollywood version was better than the original, scarier too. Owel, I'm just glad Krug was still awake by the time I went home. Thank goodness for Vice City, it was helpful in getting my mind off the Ring.

You're lucky you had people to cling on to. I went all by my lonesome :(

Technically, I was the clingee. But yeah, it would've totally sucked to see such a film alone.

actually, jeremiah was right on all accounts--it was a robbery, and thats how the guy did it--he shot the manager, and then he went to the register, got the money & took off--i made a reference to the fact that there had also been another robbery in the same area earlier this year, as if people have scoped that neighborhood--which makes my desire to return to sushi huku slightly scary...

speaking of scary, i thought of calling your place about 5 minutes after you left on saturday, but i thought that would be too mean--after all, i was pretty freaked myself and had a fear the phone would ring...by the way, i meant to tell you that naomi watts is your dream girl--look how close both of you sit to the tv screen!

You jerk! It would be bad karma to do that anyways. Hey, and doesn't she do lesbo stuff in Muholland Drive movie? And she's aussie. And pretty good looking for an old chick.

recommending mulholland drive for its lesbian scene is parallel to the time i talked krug & hewhocannotbenamed into seeing crumb due to "fritz the cat" being the subject of the first animated x-rated movie--which is to say, its a factually true statement but if you watch it, you may get something else out of it that you weren't expecting...
