Oct. 25th, 2002 02:01 pmGah, haven't updated in a while. And pathetically, its because I've been too busy playing video games on my off days. My C class ended early on Wednesday. Had a quick lunch and went home to finish Onimusha 2. Beat it, cursed up a storm trying to finish "the man in black" mini game (which I eventually did) and started the game over to get more scenarios. Also picked up my own copy of Onimusha 2 as well as the strategy guide at Media Play thursday so I could give Chris his back. And dang, the media play cutie has a boyfriend. Owel. Later on, went up to Cobb so Krug could drop off his car for a check-up, and hit Williamson's Brothers afterwards with Charlie and Joseph. Finally had the secret "all you can eat" deal. Its not on the menu. Go there and ask for it. Its all you can eat BBQ, except ribs, and you can switch out the meats each time the waitress comes by. Same thing with sides, except you can't get salad. So you basically get to try almost everything on the menu for just $7.50! Anyways, we hit Cumberland mall afterwards so Krug could pick up Suikoden III. And dammit, Contra: Shattered Soldier came out, which I picked up.
Krug was a little worried when it wouldn't let him load his Suikoden II save for III, but its because he didn't save it after beating the boss. I'm not sure if I'm gonna try playing it while he's playing it. Besides, I have Onimusha 2 to complete to 100%, and I haven't even finished Tekken Force or completed all the Silent Scope 3 missions. And now I gots Contra. Damn it, I haven't played games in a while and now I've gotten sucked back in.

Date: 2002-10-25 01:42 pm (UTC)Williamson Bros. actually has very mediocre, borderline bad, Brunswick stew. Hot sauce improves it immensely, but it's too tomato-y/vinegary for my tastes.
I've never been to or even heard of Dreamland.

Date: 2002-10-28 05:11 am (UTC)dreamland was a place that originated in tuscaloosa--a place that has long been fabled as the best barbecue in the south--its branched out into other cities (birmingham, mobile, and atlanta are the only other ones, i think) but the original is the one to beat, especially as its the only one that keeps it hardcore--ribs, white bread, and sauce are the only things you can get there--the other locations (or at least the atlanta one) make it more of a typical place--i've been to the tuscaloosa one once (really good, although not my absolute fave) and the atlanta one twice (i can't take the meat salad with bleu cheese though--but its a geebs/mikeb dream, i'd imagine)...
