Rizzoli and Isles- Ha, when a good portion of this show fanbase said they wanted Rizzoli and Isles to get together, they meant Maura getting with Jane, not her brother! But it seems like that's what they're heading towards. And that was random, having that one cute rookie cop chick showing up again after several episodes.
Justified- Heh, was Raylan getting a glimpse into his future? He and Miller are very similar, thought Miller is a little bit wilder. I mean, he did blow away that King Lear quoting dude, though in his defense, he identified himself as a cop, had his gun out, and the guy was being very threatening. But yeah, when that scene started with those guys trying to get what's there's from Boyd/Winn/Picker while they were negotiating with Darryl Crowe, and then Raylan and Miller showing up, it did have the potential into erupting into something crazy.
But yeah, there's that, and then when Miller randomly runs into Danny and Dewey there at the end, and he indulges Danny's insanity, by holstering his weapon and letting Danny try and prove the 21 foot rule. And it prolly ends up getting him killed, because Dewey has had enough of all this shit, and runs both he and Danny down. Though he only grazed Danny, so things are going to prolly be bad next ep.
Its like geez, Boyd and Ava just can't catch a break. All the double crosses and problems, Dewey flipping out with a tow truck full of drugs and having possibly killed a federal agent is just on more headache on his plate. Which is also bad for Ava, since she needs that supply line to survive.
Speaking of, she just keeps on stepping in it. The nurse will help her, if Ava has Boyd kill some guy who burned her partner to death. Boyd confronts the guy, who says he only did it to avenge his wife, who OD-ed in prison, and its Rowena's partner who supplied the smack. Even though the guy is practically on his deathbed in a retirement home, he's not going down without a fight.
Boyd claims he doesn't want to kill some old guy dying in a rest home, so he offers to pay the guy off and hide him. Which should be suspicious to the audience- yeah, he'll do anything for Ava, but he's not swimming in money. So money is indeed an object! So later in the ep, he's driving with the guy, with Jimmy in the back seat. After Boyd pulls to the side of the road to pee, and thus get out of the range of the gun the guy most likely has in case Boyd tries something, Jimmy strangles the guy to death.
So, Rowena's happy and will make the deal, right? Nope. Ava has to do one more thing- kill Judith. Which should be very conflicted for her, because she's starting to like the old broad, who also just save her life earlier that day by scaring a way someone who wanted to shank her.
In the end, Raylan returns to the office, but things are settled between him and Art. He heard about the case Raylan caught while on "vacation", and it just pissed Art off to no end- he worries about all the shit Raylan does, how he'll get himself in big trouble, but once again, everything works out for Raylan. And Art is sick of it. He's making no amends- he only has a week and a half left in the Marshall's office. He's just going to wait it out and duck Raylan until then.
