The Following- Man, I'm not even a Joe fan (not that I dislike him, I'm pretty much neutral on him), but I would get a little bit of satisfaction if he shows this new group what for, if you know what I mean. I mean, they're a little similar to Lily's group in that they want Joe's natural charisma and ability to attract psycho killers, but also want him under control. But at least Lily kissed his ass, tried to make him want to be a part of her group. This new group is pulling all this "humble yourself" shit, I can't wait for him to gut that Judith bitch.
But heh, I guess for Joe to go on as a character, he can't be the one Ryan and the gang continue to chase. Because if he's the main antagonist, it makes it silly if they just endlessly chase him and always get foiled. So, I think they're doing this new thing where Joe is evil, but then he encounters all these people who are in some ways more fucked up than he is, and thus the audience can root for him to take them down.
Meanwhile, they also have Ryan and crew hunt down these other bad guys, who again do worse things than Joe, and make it personal, so it makes sense for the good guys to focus on these other baddies. And man, talk about a gutting episode. Lily's down but not out. She's pissed, and out for revenge. She gets a serial killer ex-bf who's totally devoted to her to kidnap and kill Max, but they manage to save Max. So happy day, right? Nope, while they were busy with that, Lily was doing something else. So in the end, they get another video, this one of Mike's dad. At first, they're thinking its like with Max, where they'll get a chance to save him. But nope, they kill his father right then and there, and Mike is forced to watch.
And Ryan is actually not stand-offish for once and comforts Mike. But looks like Mike is back in the game- he had quit, came back to help save Max, and now that Lily killed he's dad, I'm sure he's on the hunt full force. Too bad he's a burgeoning psychopath, starting to be prone to having rage blackouts.
