Jan. 29th, 2014 02:16 amWell today sucked. Because of the snow, everyone went home early. I mean, I still stayed until I normally do, thinking things would've thinned out by then. Nope, basically, my 20 minute commute took SEVEN friggin hours. And even then, my car didn't make it all the way home. I had a quarter of a tank, expecting to be fine til later this week. After five hours, the light came on. An hour later, I was a mile away from home, and a gas station. But, we were moving a couple of feet every 5 minutes, and I didn't think I would be able to make it to the station before my car stalled out.
Basically, there's two roads I can turn left at to get home. The gas station is after the first left. However, since the first left was empty, tried to venture that way, only to find out that road was iced up and impassible. I could've gone back to the main road, but the way it was moving, like I said I was doubtful I'd make it to the station even though it wasn't that far. So, I parked in the nearest lot, which happened to be a kennel, which was good since it was still opened and I asked if it was okay to leave my car there. They said it was fine, and hopefully my car is still there tomorrow.
So, I walked the rest of the way home, which like I said was prolly a little less than a mile. So I left at 3pm, didn't get home until past 10pm. Owel, tomorrow I'll head back there, and hopefully the patch of road between here and there isn't too icy. And my car is able to start and I can drive it to the station (which is hopefully opened) and fill it up and get my car home.
TV commentary:
Teen Wolf- Kira continues to be cute. And aw, that was sweet when she and Scott were holding hands at the rave, and then Alison saw, and Scott locked eyes with her, so Kira felt sad and wandered off. But then Scott snapped out of it and saw Kira's invisible aura (which is visible to Scott's wolf sight) and it looks like a fiery fox. So she's all, "Oh, I'm a monster!" and he's all, "Naw, gurl, you're a fox!' Smooth!
But I suppose part of her fear was that she didn't realize she's not the only "monster". But now she knows more about Scott and the gang, wonder how things will go after they sort things out in the morning?
And what is the meaning of those marks, and what did they shadow ninjas do to the marked- Derek, the Twins, Lydia, Isaac? And were they the ones who kicked Alison's dad's ass?
And what the? Stiles is possibly a secret bad guy? So secret, he doesn't know he's a bad guy?
The Originals- How illuminating! So in the past, we found out Sabine's not the first different face Celeste has taken. She was there when the dude in the suit showed up in NOLA. The guy's name is Papa Tunde. He was powerful, since he was channeling the power of his twin sons. Well, that and he practiced sacrificial magic, which means sacrificing things for a power boost. For a while he was mowing through Klaus' minions like wheat. But Klaus was only biding his time, figuring out Papa Tunde's weakness. Or I suppose the source of his strength- his sons. So, the Mikaelsons kill them, leaving Tunde vulnerable, and they kill him too.
But the big thing is that Tunde showed up because Marcel secretly had invited him there, to maybe chase off Klaus so he and Rebekah could get together. That plan failed, but we finally find out the secret between Marcel and Beky- they were the ones who brought Mikael to NOLA, possibly by either getting Celeste (not that they knew it was Celeste) or the other 20s witch that she resurrected in the present.
Speaking of, so besides Bastiana and Tunde, the 20s witch is apparently named Genevieve. And I didn't realize she's played by that one girl from SGU! She always looks different to me in stuff she's in. Anyways, Tunde is the only one who reveals himself, striking at Klaus by capturing a couple of minions and sacrificing them. And then capturing the Bekster and putting her in a sacrificial circle. But since she's an original, she can't die, meaning she gives him an ongoing power source. Theirry witnesses this, and runs.
Oh, Thierry is out, because basically Klaus is high from the Caroline effing back at MF he's feeling generous.
Anyways, Marcel goes to the bar to try and get info out of Sophie, but sees Cami instead. He tells her all about the history of Tunde, and eventually, the dude shows up and kicks his ass to punish Klaus by killing his "son". But Cami warns Klaus. Since Tunde has Rebekah's power, its a stalemate. But Elijah and Hayley find the Bekster's body, and with help from Sophie, free her, and taking that power away from Tunde. So Klaus beats him up and sends him packing, and Cami insists on being the one to feed Marcel to heal him, even though Klaus doesn't want her involved in all this.
Eventually, the gang figures out that someone hijacked the harvest to bring back Tunde and 3 other witches. Which is interesting, because Tunde, Bastiana and Genevieve make three. Celeste/Sabine isn't the fourth, because she's already alive. So who is the fourth. Anyways, Tunde continues to make sacrifices to increase his power- breaking into the garden and sucking all those vamps dry. Which, how convenient that the two named guys in there, Thierry and Tyler are no longer there. He puts all that power into an enchanted blade, which he gives to Celeste, and lets her cut his throat to provide one last sacrifice and give his power to the blade.
Also, Klaus gives his vamps a choice, join him or leave. Interestingly enough, while Thierry leaves, Diego chooses to stay. And Klaus does end up with more vamps then Marcel expected.
PLL- Is it me, or does Spencer look kinda hot when she's doing the no-makeup, no-sleep, super-focused thing? And I was liking Mona's look this ep. Ha, so she and Mikey are dating? Thanks to the new group they joined run by the new guidance counselor Jesse, who's played by Wyatt (when he was grown up!) from Charmed. (Ha, I wonder if he and Ella will ever meet?!) Aria is not pleased.
So, she ends up going off on Maggie for being mean to Ezra (what the frick, he's upset because she won't let him see Malcolm, even though he's not really his son?! Which reminds me, if he's A, then who was the one who tricked Spencer into revealing to Ezra he had a son?), and worries that Maggie will complain to Ezra and he'll get mad at her.
But, he's too busy hanging out at a bar drinking "Boardshorts" beer, which Spencer sees since she saw A write about someone at that bar who eats boysenberry pie and drinks beer. And lo and behold, Ezra does both. Which ooh, finally someone is suspicious of him. She also kinda flirts with Andrew to get him to hook her up with "study aids" i.e. uppers.
Meanwhile, Emily gets menaced a bunch, and gets her dad to save her. Only he has like a heart attack or something, because that's why he's really home, he has some sort of sickness, and didn't want to worry her or her mom. So now she's doubly freaked, because not only did A menace her, A almost killed her daddy.
As for Hanna, after that Sean Faris state cop guy inappropriately flirts with Hanna (under the guise of apologizing to her and her mom for going after them) he reveals a twist of a book she's reading (she's on a James Patterson kick, because apparently he's a genius and she think reading his books will help her crack the case) which involve dental records. She figures out they prolly identified Ali's body that way, and A prolly just switched the records at the dental office.
So Hanna decides to steal the patient list for around that time while she's there for a checkup, to see if that will lead them to A. Unfortunately, as she's off stealing, the dentist (her ex's mom!) thinks she left, and so leaves for the day. Leaving Hanna alone to get gassed by A, who steals the list, and put something in her teeth.
A scroll that tells them to back off! Ha, just when you think A couldn't get any creepier, A gives the Liars messages right ot of Hanna's actual head!

Date: 2014-01-30 03:58 am (UTC)But yeah, I can imagine how horrific that was. I mean, I've done a 5hr commute and got pissed off every time someone would call me asking how for I was now.

Date: 2014-01-30 09:41 pm (UTC)I mean, there are plows and stuff, the problem is they let everyone out at the same time, so the roads were too clogged with people for the trucks to come in and plow it.
Of course, last time we had this issue in 2011, the problem was the government waited too long to send out the trucks. I mean, they didn't have enough trucks, but they waited until the interstates totally iced over before they sent the trucks they did have.
