Saw American Hustle with the usual suspects after work. It was pretty good. Couple of nicely hidden twists. Cool soundtrack. But heh, JLaw and Amy Adams had some really hot outfits. I mean, seriously, how many unique outfits could they find to display Amy Adams' cleavage and side boob in so many different ways?

Lots of people I didn't realize were going to be in the movie, like Louis CK and Robert Deniro. Also, Jeremy Renner's wife is played by Elisabeth Rohm and she looks totally different. Like not really in a, "What happenned?" kinda way, she just looks nothing like herself. Maybe its a combination of having not seen the actress in 10 years and her totally different hair, but she was totally unrecognizable.

TV commentary:

Nikita- second to last ep. Again, things moving way quick. The gang spills the beans about everything, Division, all that stuff to the government. They want to parade her out in public as a hero and give her the Presidential medal of freedom so that everything will be neatly wrapped up. But Ryan's not convinced its over.

Alex is totally surprised when Sam takes the (fake) diamonds where she told him too, and manages to hear him get kidnapped. So she rescues him and they totally kill the loan shark. Which, why didn't Sam do that in the first place? Like he totally had the training to go after this guy and get him. But yeah, since we only have 2 eps left, they totally do it after.

Since Ryan is still suspicious, he asks that MDK guy some questions, but since that organization has huge reach, they secretly capture him and bring him to Amanda. Turns out she's been using the machine to get the doubles under her control so she can take over. She also wants to use the machine to stop Ryan from being so damn curious- she knows if she kills him, it will just make Nikita suspicious and go after her.

Ryan breaks his hand to slip out of his restraints and escape, bashing Amanda's face in for good measure. He's badly wounded, and about to be captured, so he ends up jumping out a window to kill himself in such a public way, that way Nikita will investigate his death. Shockingly, he actually doesn't die in the fall, but at a hospital later, where he gets to tell Nikki Amanda's plans before he dies.

Its no surprise he was the one who died, he's the only one without a love interest. Plus, as we saw last time he died, Nikita cared for him deeply, so that would be huge motivation for her to go after Amanda full bore. Well, anyone of them (well, except for Sam and Sonya) would prolly have evoked that reaction.

Unfortunately, the government doesn't want to go after Amanda just yet. I'm sure there's some person pulling the strings in the government to make it that way. But, that one senator does bring up a good point. If they announce to the world MDK still exists, with their doubles running aroung, the world would be plunged into chaos. World leaders could starts accusing each other of being a secret double, and start wars citing that as a reason.

So, she runs away, and she and Alex decide to take down Amanda once and for all. It is interesting she asked Alex rather than Michael to see this to the end.
