OUAT: Wonderland- Huh, its interesting they're calling this the mid-season finale, since I thought this show was getting canceled. I figured that it would end with last night's episode and it just wouldn't return after New Year's. Or is it that they know they're getting canceled, and thus have a few more eps to wrap things up? I mean, last night's ep was kinda a conclusion to a lot of the introduced arcs. Like they seemed to kinda fast forward the plot. First off, I forgot to comment on last week's ep. So Alice using her second wish to save her father, Will warned her of consequences. Was it just that he thought it was all a dream, so all that progress he made towards understanding Alice and kinda reconciling with her is thrown out the window?
But yeah, like I said, this ep seemed to just jump forward at high speed. I mean, Cyrus randomly getting entangled by that plant, and thus the Red Queen finding out where he is? Jafar trying to steal the lamp from her, and though she tricked him and the traitor (whichever tweedle it was) with a fake lamp, she fled her castle with the real lamp and connected with Cyrus. And Jafar blows up her castle in anger, so does that mean she's no longer queen? It doesn't seem like she's wanting to return to that life.
And then when she and Cyrus meet up with Alice and Will, she's all apologetic to him and is talking about how all she wants is to take everything back and go back to a time when he loved her (which she claims was her motivation in trying to get the genie all this time!) According to Cyrus, she is for real. Which makes me think they had her say that and try and join team Alice because they're getting ready to wrap this show up. But yeah, Will totally rejects her, but I wonder if that's because he still hasn't put his heart back.
Anyways, we find out the rabbit was working for the Queen because she kidnapped his family, which again, plot fast forward, since they go to Will and Anastasia's secret hiding spot and find them pretty quickly. And Jafar is pissed at the Red Queen tricking him, so he sends the smoke monster after her (I wonder if they purposely made his spell look like the smoke monster) to kill her.
Which is why she was begging team Alice to take her in. Both Alice and Will are skeptical, but when Cyrus senses she's not lying and its not a trick, its too late. The smoke monster zaps her, but since she was holding the bottle, it deflected off that and hits will. And unfortunately, Alice made that wish so that if the Knave dies, she dies. So they both lay there dying, with Cyrus begging her to make her last wish to save herself. But she doesn't want to and send him back to the bottle.
But, the third wish isn't hers anyways- she had promised him a wish if he helped find Cyrus. Which he did, so its Will's wish now, and he wished to end Alice's suffering. Which, why would you phrase it like that? She might have just gotten euthanized, because death does stop her from suffering. Instead, she's healed, and Cyrus is also free, since her being apart from his is also cause for suffering. But, that means Will takes his plce as genie.
Anastasia is distraught and heartbroken, since she dropped the bottle in the blast and it got swept away by a river, so they have no idea where he is now. It will be interesting to see if there are indeed eps left and how everything will play out.
