Misfits- Since I couldn't wait until Thursday for the series finale of Misfits on Hulu, watched it beforehand through other means. Jess is still hurting over Rudy freaking out and just taking off. Even though he apologized and says he's in, she doesn't trust that he actually is, given how he just left her when she was wanting to talk about it. So, she hooks up with some random guy in the bar, who turns out to be a psycho with powers. (surprise, surprise!)

He has the power to send people forward or backwards through time (so I guess its like Curtis' power, but on other people?). He'd been apparently been using it on other girls to try and make them love him, to show them what life would be like with the together. Although its kinda hincky, because why, in sending them forward, is it along a path he chooses, and not the likely scenario of these girls not being with him? Like how and why is she actually with him in this future? And its not exactly a future where she just decided to be with him, because nobody has seen her since she was sent forward, like she was ripped from the timeline. But if she was ripped from the timeline, how was her baby born?! (Which, turns out the baby is not Rudy's but creepy guy)

So, in this new future, the only one doing anything different is Finn, who's a probationary probation worker. Alex is still at the bar, Abby was apparently tricked into a fake job, and Rudy has basically been a mess since Jess disappeared. She tells the gang what that guy did, but dealing with that isn't actually the main focus of the ep. Nope, Rudy Too has his gang of superheroes now and they're pretending to be on community service as their secret identities, but unfortunately, they've turned into a bunch of psychopaths. They started killing criminals, and have move on to even killing people for petty offenses like littering.

They try to kill Finn when he finds out they're not actually on community service, and Rudy Too, having figured out what they're up to, warns Rudy. So, the gang decides to go after Sam, Karen and Helen. They tussle with Sam first, and Finn goads Alex into jumping onto Sam, and then jumping him to take his power. Of course, they didn't think this plan through, and the two of them plummet to the ground. Sam falls to his death, but Finn manages to muster enough telekinesis to teek a garbage bin to break Alex's fall.

They taken on Karen next, who's pretty much kicking their ass by turning invisible and carving them up, but again, Finn musters enough telekinesis to crush Karen with a piano. Which leaves Helen. Rudy Too shows up and begs Helen to stop with the killing, and she gets angry when he chooses Rudy and the gang over her. So, he goes back into Rudy, and Rudy threatens her. He ends up pissing himself (which I thought was intentional, given what happens next), and Helen shocks him, but he uses the piss stream, which has flowed along the floor to her, to shock her back. So they both die, and Jess, whom Rudy had sit the fight out, shows up with the baby to see him die.

Since he told her he wanted to raise the baby with her even though it wasn't his, she trusts him now, and is distraught that he's dead. So, she comes up with a plan- she records a video warning herself of everything. Then she cuts her wrists so crazy guy will send her back to the past, which he does. Now what was fucked up about all of this was she bonded with the baby, and wanted that particular baby. So, she sleeps with the guy so she'll be impregnated, then totally murders him.

Yeah, he's a psycho who was doing this to other girls before her, but it just seems like the show is all over the place with what its trying to say. Rudy Too tells his people that they can't just go around killing people, but instead of avoiding this guy, Jess still meets up with him so she can have his child, but immediately murders him after? That's beyond fucked up.

Owel, she does warn Rudy Too about his people, so he decides not to form the superhero group, instead just running off with Helen and being a normal couple. Again with the mixed messages, he's all, "using super powers like that is just trouble!" But then Rudy is all, "We should be superheroes!" to the gang. Which, like they said earlier in the ep when they were planning taking on Sam, Helen, and Karen, they had a shit powerset compared to them. Like Finn only barely started having his powers actually being useful. And Alex's is useful, but as I've said before, its not something you can have him regularly use on a show, because its kinda rape-y.

Like when Alex used it on Sam, the gang was cheering him on, which is kinda effed up. I mean, if it was Karen or Helen, people would be appalled! But its okay if its a guy? Now, I'm not saying they should have had him use his powers on them, just that they should've thought the power through. Like if they wanted to do a compelling story about such a power, they coulda had him fall with a super who didn't want to lose her power, and thus he could not sleep with her. Him using it as an offensive power just seems like trouble.

But yeah, it looks like there's another storm coming, so maybe they will get better powers. Like Jess getting something better than x-ray vision, which she doesn't even use! Like the computer girl ep from a few weeks ago, I didn't even think about it until ND brought it up, but why the hell was Jess looking through that peep hole!? She has x-ray vision!

Anyways, even though the show is over, it does seem like they're setting up for like a special or movie or something.
