So another Thanksgiving of good eating. Even though there was no honey-baked ham! And people forgot to make the stuffing. And burnt the gravy for the turkey. But after food, did some dueling on Sing Star, then played some Rock Band 3 until Glee came on.
TV commentary:
Misfits- So it is complete! The invisible person is some girl named Karen whom the gang meets at the community center, helping out terminally ill people. So she ends up helping them with the SotW, and notices the jumper and seeks out Rudy Two and identifies herself as the last person. So I guess he has his supposed group of super heroes. And wait, did that lady not give him the jumper with the dead Misfits? I guess she said she was behind on getting him the sweaters, but is she also behind on seeing the sweaters herself? You would've thought that would be a pretty important sweater to give!
Also, I was confused if the girl who gypsy-cursed Alex, did she get the ability to gypsy curse during the storm, or is she just some random person who can do magic. And I got a kick out of Finn trying to do the get a sympathy bone by saying he was dying, and when the girl asks him what he has he says AIDS. You idiot!
Glee- I still don't get why the hell they would show a new ep on Thanksgiving. It was amusing enough though. In NYC, Kurt books the Pamela Lansburys a gig at some Broadway-themed bar. The rest of the group is skeptical but Kurt has a fantasy in his head of how it will go as they perform Into the Groove:
But the reality is that no one ends up coming except for one guy who thinks he's there to see Angela Lansbury. But turns out he's the uncle of some guy who gets them a second gig at a better, more appropriate venue.
Back in Lima, the school board is out to see they want to bring Sue in as full time principal. Which, the flashback they show indicates she started in Mckinley 1986, which means she would've been a teacher when Will was a student back in the 90s. Which seems kinda weird. But yeah, the implication is Figgins caused a gas leak to get Sue in trouble with the school board, causing various people to have gas-induced fantasies.
So Blaine's trying to take a leadership role, but gets a little too arrogant (geez, being in 23 clubs and then being all, "I've won more show choir competitions than everyone in this room!" is this shades of Rachel? I guess he was elected new Rachel last season premiere, even though Rachel promised Tina the position at the end of 3?) so the rest of the club is mad at him so he has a snit.
He ends up sitting in the back one practice and breathing in the fumes, has a fantasy that everyone else is puppets and they do Queen's "You're My Best Friend":
But, he was really just sitting there in a haze. Jake was the only one who stood up for him earlier, because he is also being arrogant and frustrated- the cheerios aren't getting his routines, and he feels he can't make anything too fancy for ND, because they can't keep up anyways. For some reason, Blaine is all, "Hmm, this guy agrees with me" and tells him, sit in this seat where I was tripping out? It actually doesn't make sense why X would lead to Y. But it was more an excuse to get to the next fantasy-induced song, mash-up of Janet Jackson's "Nasty" and "Rhythm Nation":
As done by Jake, Marley, and Bree. Marley is still mad at him for being a dog, and so is Bree, but she also thinks she's preggers. Jeez, is he going to be just like his brother? In any case it turns out to be a false alarm, but she tells him off that its kinda trashy of him to be just screwing girls left and right and he'll end up a loser like his dad having kids by a bunch of different girls. So, he tries to turn over a new leaf and get Marley to take him back, but while she accepts his friendship, she can never trust him again, so they'll never be together.
Sue meanwhile, has a crush on the superintendent, who thinks she's a dude. Of course, the other problem I think, is that he mentions he has a wife, so why is she trying to get with him? Anyways, she tries to get Will to help her be more feminine, (he makes allusions to Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers) but she refuses to give him money for costumes, so he won't help until she does. But then she has a gas-induced fantasy where they dance to Cheek to Cheek:
Sue however, realizes the fantasies are indicative of something hincky going on, so she finds the leak and fixes it before the school board comes. So she gets the principal gig full time. And since Unique helped her look more feminine, she asks him out (again, I thought he was married), but he of course shoots her down in front of the board. Awkward!
In the end, the NY and Lima gang do a rendition of The Fox:
