OUAT: Wonderland- So we learn about Anastasia's past. Turns out she is totally Regina 2.0, complete with a bitchy mother who wanted to marry her off to some rich person and raise their station. But unlike Regina, Anastasia has sisters, so her mom is perfectly fine with her taking off with Will. Also, is it me, or does she look way better with her hair down?
When they get to Wonderland, its not all happy endings like they thought it would be. They're basically homeless, scrounging for food, sneaking into fancy parties just to get something to eat. Amusingly enough, Anastasia meets the king and flirts with him, so you figure somehow she'll end up getting with him to become the Red Queen. But yeah, they get caught and kicked out, so she gets the bright idea to try and steal the crown jewels and return home and sell them off, so she'll be rich and won't have her mom being all, I told you so.
So she tries, and the king catches her, and for some reason admires her spunk, so instead of punishing her, he marries her. Is this irony? She rebels against her mother's wishes to marry rich over love, so she runs away, but ends up choosing marrying some rich guy over love anyways?
But what the hell is with the really quick marriage?! Like when Will was waiting outside the castle, was that still that same night? Like wouldn't he freak out if a bunch of people started showing up? But if it is a different day, wouldn't he freak out she never showed back up and go into rescue her?
Heh, I'm glad Alice held onto some of that dust, because she had to know the Red Queen was gonna betray her. I mean, why keep it all in one convenient bag that can be easily stolen. Split it up, just in case! I figured Alice would use it to save Will, but apparently not! I know she loves Cyrus, but I figured someone pure of heart would save her friend first and find some other way to find her love. I mean, Anastasia did it for her, but I was hoping they'd reunite and Alice would be all, "I was going to turn you back!" and then realize the Queen did it and be all, "Maybe she's not totally evil", and then they would now be free to use the dust to find Cyrus.
Which, it looks like Cyrus managed to escape on his own, but he doesn't know that something ominous lies beyond the walls, as Jafar tells the rabbit when he tries to escape. Interesting, where is the rabbit taking him? Storybrooke? Will it be the first crossover? Like Jafar could totally be gone the next ep while Cyrus, Alice, and Will try to reunite. And since they're prolly focusing on OUAT in Neverland, they could totally do an ep of both shows later showing what Jafar's up to after these current story arcs are wrapped up.
You know, when the other prisoner with Cyrus started talking about how Jafar keeps him around because he wants him to give Jafar something he can never give, and how he wasn't worried about Jafar killing him upon finding out Cyrus escaped, I suspected he was the Sultan. I mean, if Jafar got power like that, you'd think he'd take over Agrabah first before changing the rules of magic or whatever the hell the three genie thing is meant to do. I can't think of anyone else he could be just yet.
