Arrow- aav('Whatttt!!?') So Canary is indeed Laurel's sister Sara, which I suspected. (Heh, now did they change the actress who played Sara because they couldn't get the original actress/didn't like the original actress for this role, or so they could fool people so they wouldn't realize Canary was Sara? She's actually kinda cute out of the mask and wig, though why does she always look like she's about to cry?) But apparently Oliver knew she survived and saw her later, on the boat he had been taken to?! Well, I guess I actually had an inkling that might be the case- I can't remember how Ollie exactly phrased it, but it was in such a way that even though he said she was dead while they showed the flashback scene of her getting pulled under so you would naturally assume that's where he's saying she died, something in the wording made me think that in his mind, that was not the end of her story.
Still, despite my suspicions, it was still weird for Diggle and Felicity to be all, "OMG, Sara is alive? You're an effin liar!" and him being, "Oh yeah, she didn't die in the boat, I thought she died later, but that was too long a story, so I just made everyone think she drowned!" Also surprising, she knows who Slade is, so its not like it was a short encounter with her, he like really must have spent some time with her on the island (or at least that boat he's been taken onto).
Which heh, they really do seem to be doing some Lost kinda thing, where we'll follow each year of Ollie's life on the island in parallel with the current time, and we'll catch up to the current time by the time we reach season 5? But I digress, their team up against "The Mayor", it seems like they're familiar enough with each other's fighting styles to switch weapons and use the other's.
But hey, good on Felicity, being the one to figure out Canary was following Laurel, and not Ollie. I didn't even think about that. (And what the, they're turning Laurel into a druggie alcoholic?) And oh, are they doing a secondary triangle between Roy, Thea, and Sin, despite them seeming to get all friendly?
Finally, was it any surprise the Blood guy was a secret bad guy? His name is freaking Blood! I mean, even if I didn't know he was a DC villain, I woulda already just suspected from that name! But I'm guessing since he's familiar with that phrase Ollie heard on the boat (wait, since there were a bunch of Russians there, was that how he knew enough about the Russian mobsters to go undercover 1st season?) he's connected to them?
