TV commentary:
Legend of Korra- Seriously, why do they insist on making Korra unlikable?! I understand her family and her tribe are in danger, but can she not see how the president can't just immediately bring the full force of the Republic against the Northern water tribe? The majority of the northerners (much less the rest of the world) don't realize Unalaq schemed his way into power, and his version of events, protecting the portal from rebel elements is a reasonable story. She needs to keep a cool head and expose Unalaq. Having a bunch of troops show up to beat back the Northerners will just piss a lot of people off, making them unwilling to hear how Unalaq may not be on the up and up.
And she acts like a total bitch to Mako, and is surprised when he breaks up with her?! She's all, "Oh, why can't you compromise your morals for me? Who cares about your pissant job, I'm the avatar!" He's a cop, he thinks everyone is being lazy or hotheaded about the bombing, and the Northerners are being framed for the bombing of that Southern Water Tribe center (was that a statue of Sokka up front?!). He wants to find out the truth, he's not just going to accuse the North when he has a feeling something more is going on! And she's mad at Mako for not wanting to lie to the president? The prez is being relatively chill, well, he's still pissed at Korra, but is showing some restraint by just saying her behavior is "bordering" on insurrection? Bordering?! She's full on flouting his authority! She was trying to secretly get the army to attack the northerners for her!
Heh, and is it me, or is Eska kinda a combo of Azula and Mai? Also, her brother needs a distinct personality, right now he's like Eska's twin brother, there's nothing else you can say about him.
