Sep. 15th, 2013 11:06 pmSo Jack Black and the school of rock kids did a reunion performance:
Is it me, or did the girl playing bass grow up to be kinda cute? Oh, she's part Flip, no wonder I think that.
TV commentary:
Breaking Bad- Wow, some of that was expected, but still shocking. So after a flashback to Walt and Jesse's first cook and some baby discussion with Skylar, we cut back to the present- Gomez is dead and Hank has a bullet in his leg. Walt tries his best to save him, even offering up his precious money (which I think is a good symbol of how much Walt still cared about Hank, that he would be willing to give up everything he's worked for) but Hank's last words are telling Walt he's always respected Walt's brains, but he's an effin idiot if he doesn't realize Jack already made up his mind about killing him. And then Jack does.
Jack figures the fact that Walt gave him coordinates instead of being all, "Oh, just down this road", that the coordinates are that of the burial site. So he digs it up, throws Hank and Gomez unceremoniously in, and leaves a barrel for Walt out of respect. Well, Todd's respect of Walter. After Walt has composed himself and noticed Jesse is lying under the car, he tells Jack he still owes him a dead Jesse, and then reveals Jesse being under the car. Apparently, in addition to feeling the sting of betrayal, he blames Jesse for Hank's death. His rage is enough that he actually admits to being there when Jane died and letting her die.
But Todd stays his uncle's hand, saying they should find out what the cops know first. They beat Jesse for all he knows, but Todd has other plans- keeping him prisoner and getting him to cook to please Lydia. And to keep Jesse motivated, he shows him a pic of Andrea and Brock.
Meanwhile, Marie shows up at the car wash, since she thinks Hank still has Walt under arrest and is trying to get Skylar to stop backing Walt (which was so sad to see her talking like that, not knowing her husband was dead in a ditch somewhere). They finally reveal everything to Flynn, and he's understandably upset. They go home, and find Walt packing up saying they have to go. Eventually, Skylar figures out if Walt is free, something bad has happened to Hank. And once Walt confirms this, that's enough, she threatens Walt with a knife and tells him to leave. They wrestle, and then Walt Jr wrestles his dad when he gets the upper hand on his wife, before finally calling 911 saying his dad has gone crazy and is threatening his mom with a knife.
So he leaves, but not before taking Holly. Eventually, he realizes how dumb that was, he can't go on the run with a child, and calls home. He knows the cops are there, so he basically plays up his villainy to make it look like Skylar was not involved in this (and reveals Hank is truly dead) before leaving Holly at a fire station and going off with Saul's guy, presumably to NH like in the flashforwards.
