Ooh, my sources tell me Amy Acker was made a series regular on PoI. And don't forget Sarah Shahi was also signed on as a regular a month or so ago. Hey, I'm always fine with more of the two of them on the show.

So Avengers 2 is the Age of Ultron (prolly only in name, I'm sure it will have nothing to do with the series). So some people are all, who? Who doesn't know who Ultron is? He's up there in terms of big Avengers villains. Totally not obscure. Its like I was playing the new expansion of that Marvel game and [livejournal.com profile] clevemire didn't know who these MLF and Marauder guys were. I mean, I can understand not knowing who the members of the MLF are, but what marvel comic reader doesn't know all the members of the Marauders? ojv('Man, its obvious!') The Morlock Massacre was a huge event (that I haven't actually read). Actually, let's see if I can name all of the original ten of the top of my head? Scalphunter, Arclight, Blockbuster, Prism, Vertigo, Scrambler, Riptide, Sabretooth, Harpoon, and Malice. Of course, the cards include newer Marauders like Chimera, but I see didn't if they had any other non-original lineup Marauders, like Lady Mastermind or Omega Sentinel.

Yeah I think I never did finish explaining AoU. Things are terrible and Ultron rules everything, Wolverine and Sue Storm go back in time and kill Hank Pym, but when they return to the present, things are just differently terrible. I think it was the Kree-Skrull war, but whatever it was, without Pym, the Avengers couldn't save the world, so things were crappy. So Wolverine and Sue Storm go back again, and instead of killing Pym, they convince him to put a virus in Ultron's code to activate at a certain time so they could defeat him. But due to all that monkeying around with the timeline, there's like 3 pages of "timeline breaking" splash panels, and then Angela from Spawn (who Marvel got the rights to fairly recently) appears in the Marvel Universe and 616 Galactus is headed to the Ultimate U.

Since the main characters are 2 people Marvel doesn't have movie rights to and 1 person who Joss already said won't be in it, it can't possibly be adapting the AoU storyline.

Also, the Marauders suck and I've never read anything with them in it. I read my first comic with Apocalypse in it earlier this year, so I'm obviously not that big of an X-Men person at all.
