And its like sure, there were several other characters I would've rather seen Rachel with besides Finn, but this is not how I wanted that coupling end. Its also weird how the show had already conveniently written his character off since he was going into rehab in real life near the end of last season. Its like, will they just be all, "Oh, he's still off in college" and eventually not mention him anymore? Or will the show be horrible and write his death into the show and do a special episode about it? Oh man, I hope they don't do the latter. The Karofsky attempted suicide/Quinn getting t-boned and ending up in a wheelchair for texting while driving ep and the "school shooting" episode were already weird and awkward, I really hope they don't try to turn a real life tragedy into a "very special episode".
TV commentary:
Luther- Wait, is Mary supposed to be a manic pixie dream girl?! I keep seeing people say that, but she doesn't seem weird enough to be so. Well, the scene at the end where she's trying to be funny by being all faux mad and Luther is all, "WTF?", the way she looked when she tried to explain she was trying to make a really terrible joke did give me a "New Girl" vibe. And I suppose their initial meeting is meet-cute-ish.
Also, I feel like I missed something- so how did Luther stop the investigation on him? He made it sound like if they took him down, he'd take them down, but what does he have on them? Was their something about their investigation glaringly not legal? Or was that just a threat, like he'll find something on them? I mean, surely the irony was not lost on Gray that Stark was doing non legal shit to try and get evidence of Luther's non legal methods?
But hey, at least Ripley vouched for him, not that Luther knew at the time. And I guess since it happened at the end of the ep, and they hadn't heard about it yet, but I'm surprised they didn't turn that into a whole thing, all, "The guy just threw himself out the window?" I mean, I guess he does have a witness, but I suppose they'll think he got her to cover for him. I suppose maybe they will start sniffing around next ep.
