TV commentary:
Burn Notice- Wait, how did I not know Nathan Petrelli was married to one of the Dixie Chicks? But did not expect the episode to go the way they did. So first, they make Burke seem like a kinda good guy. Well, not so good for getting that guy they captured last week to talk by sending Michael to sneak into his kid daughter's room with a silenced pistol. But he seems to be a loyal guy who cares about those he considers friends.
During the last act, I was suspecting he might be blowing himself up to get Mike and this Sonya chick out as soon as he said he was taking it in. Which, hey Alona Tal! Like I said in a previous post, she's one of those actresses I'm pleasantly surprised to see show up in things I watch. (And hey, Autumn Reeser was on Necessary Roughness last night!) Interesting though, wonder what her deal is. She seems to be some sort of spy, what with the high security the Russians had on her, and getting the jump on Jesse like that.
And I was worried when the guy was all, "Send this letter to my gf!" it was possible it was some sort of duress code, but there was so much going on in the ep already, they couldn't have yet another fly in the ointment. And it turns out his story is for real, as Fiona and Maddie feel bad for him and get the guy and his gf set up in Iowa.
Graceland- Hey, and speaking of actresses I like seeing in things, Mia Kirshner was a pleasant surprise. But what the hell, yeah, she was all kindsa hot, but Johnny sleeping with her seemed ill advised. Like, aren't there rules against that?! I mean, that won't cause trouble when they actually prosecute her? And like the only reason they were in danger was because he did sleep with her and his fake tattoo smudged and left a mark on her bedsheets. You'd think he'd get like a reprimand or something.
That does suck that Mike and Briggs had to miss out on the pasta though, it seemed like it would be delish. (Also I assume
clevemire now dislikes Charlie for her disdain of the Pats) Interesting though, so the FBI didn't go in when they realized Mike actually wasn't shot, but someone still got shot, even if self inflicted. I guess I'm still unsure on the rules of when they're supposed to go in. Like there was that whole "commission of crimes" thing Mike was worried about in the first or second episode, but I figured Briggs would only draw a blind eye to minor things, not someone getting killed. And he wasn't alone, he had a tac team with him, so apparently it is all fine since no one protested, they can just stand down even if someone just died?
That is curious though, what did the boss say to him and why did he shoot himself? Was he thinking that gun wasn't loaded because Mike was a cop and he wouldn't give him a loaded gun or something, or that the FBI would intervene before someone actually killed themselves?
And is it me, or is that Abby chick cute?
