Defiance- The doc and Nolan seem to have all the answers, but I don't think it discounts Sukar's "calling" in this ep at all. Its like, sure, the shrapnel infected him with nanites which were connected to the ark piece and thus could sense the ark piece would smash into Defiance and destroy it. So it kinda took over Sukar to ensure it didn't in order to preserve life. So they're all, its not some Irathian "ooga-booga" god guiding them. But 1) it seems like the debris was going to crash into Defiance one way or the other. Couldn't it be a higher power orchestrating the events that led to the city being saved? I mean, of all the random things he could be hit with, he was hit with the one thing that could allow him to subconsciously know Defiance was in danger and what need to be done to save it? And 2) It kinda seemed like the debris was set to crash into Defiance AFTER Sukar had been infected.
Also, could Eloise Hawking be more creepy? And hey, Stahma and Kenya. spcv('Nice!')
Warehouse 13- Wow, a portion of fans were kinda pissed at this ep. They were all happy about the Jaime Murray lesbian-ness in Defiance, and were all ready for some HG/Myka. But HG is living this hetero life now. Many nerdsbians (hey, its apparently a thing) were wailing and cursing at this turn of events. Which honestly, if you do ship them together, I think your ship is safe. I mean, you can easily read it as being kinda what Myka said- HG is so desperate to have her daughter back that she's kinda glommed onto this father and his daughter to somehow get back what she lost. Its like sure the guy says he's shared his bed with "Emily", but they didn't kiss or get lovey-dovey at all. It does seem like HG is more into the girl than she is the father. And the weird longing looks HG and Myka had at the end, a HG/Myka shipper could easily spin that into Myka encouraging HG to do whatever she could to get that feeling she had when her daughter was still alive, letting HG go so she could. Even if it means being with this dude, instead of the woman she loves.
Also, isn't it kinda perverse that they made the goo jokes earlier, and it does end with Claudia covered in goo? heh.
