Gossip Girl- WTF, that makes no sense whatsoever! How the eff can Dan be Gossip Girl?! So it all started when he accidentally got invited to a UES party. So that makes twice that Serena met Dan before the pilot that she didn't remember! But yeah, when Nate and Sage were going over the history of Gossip Girl, that just reminded me of how it would make no effin sense for Dan to be Gossip Girl! I mean, there are a couple of things that it actually works for, but there are others where it doesn't.
And Jenny knew it was Dan! And her being run out of town was actually their plan because she wanted to leave town and didn't think she had the strength to unless she scorched the earth.
I will admit though, it was kinda funny that they got Vanessa, Agnes (Willa Holland), and Juliet (Katie Cassidy) to each have a two second cameo to show their reaction shots. (And it shows how out of touch I am, I didn't realize they also had friggin Mayor Bloomberg as one of the reaction shots. I was thinking, who's the random old guy?) Even funnier, the switcheroo with Kristen Bell showing up, but she just playing herself and running lines with Rachel Bilson for the adaptation to Inside, with Bilson as Blair and Bell as Serena.
But anyways, we end with a flash forward featuring cameos by Jenny and Eric. And they try to make you think Lily and Rufus are back together at first, but she's really back with William, and he's with... Lisa Loeb?! HA! And I totally missed that Georgina as with Jack! Oh, and Nate is running for mayor.
In the end Dan and Serena get married, and there's a mysterious new Gossip Girl for the next generation. I guess the only loser was Ivy, whom William denied having a thing with, and Lily is apparently none the wiser.
HIMYM- Unlike the series finale of Gossip Girl, tonight's ep of HIMYM was awesome! So ha, the whole Patrice thing was a scam! As some people suspected, he enlisted her help to perform a long con on Robin, culminating in leaking that he was proposing to Patrice to Ted. He swears Ted to secrecy, but even that was a test. If Ted tells Robin, Barney knows Ted is finally fine with the two of them getting together. And he does, so Robin goes to pour her feelings out to Barney before he marries Patrice, and finds out Barney's secret plan.
Heh, it is amusing that she was pissed when she thought it was all just to get back in her pants, but when he revealed he was actually proposing to her, she melted and said yes. Not that we didn't know she would, given we've already flashed ahead to their wedding.
