TV commentary:
Once Upon a time- Thank goodness! I was kinda worried something bad might happen to Aurora or Mulan, but thankfully they both survive. And it looks like they think they can revive Phillip? Can they just hook up instead? I mean, they totally looked like they were about to make out when Mulan was returning her heart.
Speaking of, they finally reveal how Hook was able to get the heart- in the past, Hook broke in the palace to break out Belle, thinking she knew Rumple's weakness. But when it came clear she was in lurve with Rumple and would never help him, he attempts to kill her. But Regina stops him and promises he'll get his revenge when she unleashes his curse. But only if he goes to Wonderland and kill her mom by taking her heart- which he'll be able to do because she enchanted his hook.
His attempt fails obviously, but Cora makes her own deal with him, pretend to kill her and bring her body back as planned (Regina sent him to Wonderland with the corpse of one of the guards he killed on the way to Belle, since as we learned in the first Mad Hatter ep, only the same number of people can leave the came in) So basically, Cora pretends to be dead, and is privy to Regina admitting she still loves her mom.
Which inspires Cora to enact a plan to eff up Regina's plan, so Regina will need her again, and tells Hook she should team up with him, because she reveals that Regina lied to him- that he wouldn't be able to get his revenge because of the curse and he wouldn't remember he hated Rumple. Which is how their alliance came to be? Also, for some reason the shield she enacted to protect them from the curse covered a large portion of land, which is how folks like Mulan and Phillip and Aurora were fine.
Anyways, the gang manages to overcome Hook and Cora and head back to Storybrooke.
Only Regina and Rumple didn't trust that Team Princess was going to win, so they steal all the magic from the fairy dust mines and use it to trap the portal (which they knew was going to open up in that one well on the outskirts of town) to kill anything to come through. Cora is just too dangerous, and Regina just wants to protect Henry. But Henry convinces her to have faith in him, and his mom and grandma. So she dispels the magic and Emma and Snow are back, and Snow kisses Charming to break the curse. And heh, Henry is all thankful to Regina, but then is all, "Yeah, thanks for saving my family, so I'm going to hang with them now, seeya!"
I mean, I kinda feel sorry for Regina here, she does the right thing, but she still ends up all alone in the end.
Also, even though Cora's plan was foiled, since Hook came back from the beanstalk with that old petrified bean necklace, they have a plan B. Since Cora restored the lake, it could restore the bean, so the ep ends with them sailing into Storybrooke.
Walking Dead- Ah, I thought they were going to go one way in the beginning, but I was wrong. With Tyrese showing up in the beginning and taking refuge in that wrecked building, I thought it was going to be a future thing, where he and his group came upon the aftermath of the Prison/Woodbury war, and that one building was wrecked from the tank they bring in the comics. But nope, that's the present, and the prison apparently has a big hole in it that they just never noticed!? Also, it seems Axel is like a pedophile at first, the way he's sniffing around Beth, but he's just horny, and Maggie's with Glenn, and he thinks Carol is a lesbo.
Also, this show prolly does come off as kinda racist, because Tyrese shows up, and Oscar gets killed during the Glenn/Maggie rescue. Which, was getting really frustrating when they tossed the smoke grenade and its like, could they drag out the whole Merle being with the Governor and the gang not knowing any further? Thankfully, Glenn eventually let them know.
But still, what the eff is up with Michonne not telling anyone anything. Like after her altercation with the Governor, gee, when Andrea is all shocked, maybe she could reveal they were there to rescue Glenn and Maggie, and how the Governor tortured them and a whole slew of other things to get Andrea on her side.
In any case, Daryl not only ends up getting captured, but the Governor brands Merle a traitor and tells the townspeople that they were in cahoots and he led them there. So things don't look too good for the Dixon brothers. I was worried they were going to kill Daryl, but thankfully he's still alive for now.
