The 10 Most Common Music Cues in Nerd Dom- This is actually a pretty accurate list. I'm kinda curious if the numbers are a rank. I mean, I guess that tick of mine to constantly make noise, "Power House" is definitely the second most song I subconsciously hum, the first being "Spanish Flea" of course.

TV commentary:

Dexter- Hmm, that was unexpected. So much for Louis. I was kinda hoping there would be more to him than him just being an angry nerd, but it seems that was all there was too him. Dexter gets him fired, and sends the vid of him getting blown by the hooker to Jamie to get her to break up with him (which was apparently while they were dating because he was wearing a shirt he gave her). So, he goes to sink Dexter's boat, and in one of the more amusing storyline intersections on this show, the Russian mob manages to track the bracelet Victor was wearing (which had a gps in it, which they used to track druge mules) to Dexter's slip. Louis gives up Dexter's name and that he works for Miami Metro (and whom Isaak had conveniently met earlier that day when Batista showed up to do his daily harassing of Jason Gedrick at the club) before putting a bullet in Louis head.

Anyways, said club visit was before Dex and Batista went to visit the ex-gf of the guy who killed himself last week. His mom showed up with evidence she'd been hanging on to so they wouldn't give her son the death penalty, and now that he was dead, it was a moot point, so now she decides to help them try and close the case. It turns out he may not have been lying about more bodies being buried, so they visit the girl who accompanied him on his spree, who was 15 at the time, and is played by Sarah from Chuck. Heh, looks like Dexter might have a little crush, and it seems she might be interested in him as well.

Getting back to the club, Nadia's bosses order her to get closer to Quinn, so she does, and feels guilty because she actually likes him and tells him the truth. She might be for real- he gives her some info to keep her bosses happy, while telling her he wants any info she hears about Mike's killer in return. She agrees. He also says he can protect her, which I think something is gonna happen to one or both of them. I mean, I don't think they can kill him, because that would be two dead cops in a short time, which I would think be too much heat. Plus, Quinn is kinda a fuck-up, so I'm not sure how good a job he can do to protect the girl.

Finally, in the KotW (well, no kill, the guy gets away), Dex's new target is some guy who's suspected of killing a couple of chyx but they haven't been able to get anything solid on. He tries to sell Deb on the idea, saying the system failed and he's doing a public service. Which, yeah, he gets rid of horrible people, but he's not a necessary evil. I mean, as satisfying as it can be to see an evil person get their comeuppance, his brand of justice has no place in civilized society. I can accept it coming from him, because he's a psycho killer. I'm not too keen when they have actual good guys do such things. Like Brenda's let some pretty effed up, over the line things happen on the Closer and its just a jarring disconnect. Same for Jack on 24. He's supposed to be a loose cannon, doing horrible things to protect the country, so I'm fine with the effed up things he's pulled but I was never too keen on when they had the higher ups actually approve of him taking such extreme actions. They're not supposed to condone such actions, they're supposed to be disgusted!

Anyways, Deb tries to do things the "right" way. Unfortunately, it all goes pear shaped. She has a patrol car watching the guy, but they have to leave for a more important thing, so Deb decides to watch the guy herself. She's just about to leave when she sees something weird going on in his house. Seriously, who the eff makes a makeshift maze in their house and chase girls around it and kill them whilst dressed as a minotaur. Freak!

She busts in, too late to save the girl, and minotaur guy gets the jump on her. Dexter saves her just in time. I guess they were worried about the chick's safety, but wtf, why didn't they tie his ass up before leaving him alone to look for the victim?!

In the end, she's starting to see why Dexter does what he does (though why have they still not brought up the fact that she said she understood back during the Lumen arc!? If Dex is really trying to get her to his way of thinking, why not throw that in her face?!), but she brings up the blood slides. He's no mere vigilante, the fact that he takes trophies makes it more fucked up. But she gets off Dexter's back, and with Louis gone, he feels free again. Too bad he has no idea the Russians are after him, or that Sarah from Chuck is prolly a whole heap of trouble. (I'm skeptical about her being so innocent)

Oh, speaking of the blood slides, those are unlabeled, right? They seem like pretty poor trophies then. I mean, I guess he keeps them in an indexed box, but what if it spills and he loses track? How will he know which is which? I thought the whole point of serial killer trophies so they can reminisce, but how can he reminisce if he doesn't know which kill the slide is for?
