geebsOoh, Atlanta is one of the "select cities" getting Pitch Perfect early. So guess what I'm catching this weekend? Well, that and Looper.
TV commentary:
Last Resort- Finally caught this, even though the pilot had been available for the longest time now. Definitely an intriguing show so far. And holy cow, Autumn Reeser looked mad cute in this! Seriously, how awesome did her rack look in this? As for some non-superficial comments, I'll put those under a spoiler cut. So whatever that SEAL team mission was in the beginning, they think they caused this whole mess. And what is the mysterious device Autumn Reeser installed in the Colorado? I wasn't clear if she outright said it was some sort of stealth system. I mean, she said whatever class of sub the Colorado is stuck out like a sore thumb on radar/sonar normally, but her device changed that.
They alluded to political issues in the beginning, but who exactly tried to get them to fire on Pakistan? The soon to be impeached president's regime, or the people opposing him? Also, what was their plan exactly? If the Colorado fired as they wanted, what would be the spin for friggin nuking Pakistan? But then them refusing, another US sub tried to sink them, and they used that as a pretext to attack Pakistan. So was that plan B? But like I said, then how would plan A work? Also, the cutting between the sub and the real world is fine, but is slightly jarring, because they only allude to the chaos that would undoubtedly be going on back in the US. I mean, Scott Speedman's wife and the Admiral guy or obviously distraught, and Autumn Reeser's sure something hinky going on. But they just friggin nuked Pakistan! And I'm assuming that video Andre Braugher sent went viral?
I'd like to see the aftermath of that. I mean, the US hunting them down is fine, but I'd also like to see some of the ramifications of what happened back in the real world. Speaking of the US, I guess they have other enemies too- not every one on the crew agrees with what they've done. Like Karofsky and his friend (also a bald black guy, like Azimo, ha!). But chick officer daughter of the admiral kills Karofsky, and the T1000 is all pissed at her. But it seems she has the backing of the crew, and he's tossed in the brig. Meanwhile, the NATO listening station they went to apparently happens to be on an island owned by a some sort of criminal, who's kidnapped a couple of the crew.
I dunno what he hopes to accomplish though?! Like they'll bow down to him? Andre Braugher is not someone you mess with. And those SEALs would be able to easily eff up some two bit crime lord.
