TV commentary:
White Collar- Neal may be mad at Peter for not trusting him, but he doesn't make it easy. One, he may think be coy is all cute and funny, but it doesn't exactly inspire confidence that he's not a total liar. And two, I thought he's supposed to be good at reading people. If Peter gets like that, Neal should know by now that Peter knows something. Hell, it doesn't even have to be about reading Peter. He should know from friggin experience, as I think they've run into this same argument at least thrice before! Its like sure, Neal has proven himself time and again, but hey, maybe he could try not to undermine that by constantly acting shady!
Sons of Anarchy- Holy jeez! I had a feeling when I saw Rachel Miner in the guest stars, that meant Pope was going to kill her. Its like "hmm, bad-ass criminal kingpin's daughter was killed by Tig. Gee, I wonder why Tig's daughter is going to be in the ep after having not been seen in the longest time!" That's effed up though, making him watch as his daughter was burned alive?
Of course, the Sons seemed surprisingly lax over this beef. Well, I mean, they knew there was trouble, but it seems insane that Jax thought he could have a sit down with Pope and talk it out. At the very least, he had to know that if there was a sit down, Pope would ask for Tig's death, which I don't think Jax would be willing to let happen. Tig killed the guy's friggin daughter! What would Jax do if it were his children, would he just sit down and broker a deal and let bygones be bygones?!
What the shoulda been doing is looking to hook up with Pope's rivals and smoke the guy. I mean, they can't just kill him outright, the need for hooking up with his rivals is either eliminating anyone who'd come looking for revenge for Pope, or hooking up with a former underling of Pope hoping to take over and has the power to keep everyone left in place.
And they've been assuming the home invasions were Pope's people, but that doesn't seem to mesh with his plans. And I doubt it was those gangers doing it all half-cocked, because the invasions were still going on after Pope and his guy killed the last two leaders. Are we supposed to know who they were from the one guy with the fake leg? Or are they just establishing that now as a clue later?
Pretty slick of Clay though to semi-come clean about everything (still leaving out certain details though), saying he accidentally killed Piney because Piney was drunk and drew on him, and that Opie went after him before he could explain himself, because he's slowly eating away at the leverage Jax has on him. I wonder how Tig is going to react to Clay when he next sees him though? Because Clay's lies have now gotten his daughter killed horribly!
