Perception- This episode confused me. First off, RLC was thanking Daniel when he pointed out that the alibi chick was crazy obsessed with the prince. She's all, "Awesome, I have so many suspects for this murder!" Isn't that a bad thing? Because with the competing theories (prince being an abusive rich prick, alibi girl being obsessed with him and seemingly not above killing a rival) couldn't that introduce reasonable doubt?
Then, when they find out the girl below her was taking that drug, Daniel says with disdain, her lawyer is going to argue diminished capacity. Well, given the scientist lady said the drug that was stolen from her lab was rejected by the army because it affected soldier's decision making ability, isn't that exactly diminished capacity?! I mean, I'm pretty sure had the girl not taken the drug, she would not have killed the victim! I thought the whole point of her recounting the story was that the drug made her totally crazy, because a normal person would not kill someone because they were bothering them from studying for the MCATS!
I mean, when they first found about the drug wasn't Daniel going on one of his rants about "Oh, look at the government, trying to develop drugs to make super soldiers" and the fact that it was stolen and sold to kids as study aids and caused one of them to kill I would think would feed into his paranoia. But instead he acted like the killer did it out of her own volition!
