Ugh, didn't fall asleep until past 1230 last night, and for some reason I ended up waking up around 545.
So
clevemire was telling me about that Charlize Theron movie, "Young Adult", and her not remembering Patton Oswalt. Actually, I hadn't that happen yet to me after HS (sadly, people do remember me, which is not necessarily a good thing), although I did get offended once when I was helping this girl out in computer lab senior year, and she didn't remember who I was, even though we had English together the year before! Heh, the GMA says I'm horrible for saying this, but she was like some nobody! I mean, the popular kids knew who I was, how does she not know who I am? Hey, I managed to remember her, and its like, who the hell is she? Really, she was one of the least remarkable people in the class, which I guess made her remarkable in her unremarkableness. I couldn't tell you now, but back then, I could prolly tell you something about everyone else in the class, except her. I think the most I could come up with is that boring girl, L-something. She may have been crushing on one of the footballers in the class. Maybe I wouldn't have minded if it was some other class, but English was one of the classes I didn't feel invisible. Or maybe I'm just thinking that because I actually talked to people in that class. Well, mostly the girl I'd like since Freshman year, and that was our only class together. And only until she finally realized I had a thing for her, and then everything got super awkward between us. But I digress, normally I'm fine with invisibility, because I always got to hear juicy things because people didn't realize I was there and could totally hear everything they said. But didn't think I faded into the background in English like I did in some other classes.
TV commentary:
Degrassi- This wasn't on, but they've started to release new promo pics for the upcoming season. I'm glad they're using Bianca more, because she's totally hot. I mean, Nina Dobrev is still the hottest chick to ever be on this show, but Alicia Josipovic is up there, if not number 2. (the two could practically be sisters!) I think she'll be the next one on this show to have something after her stint on Degrassi comes to an end.
Burn Notice- Dr. Cox as Michael's training officer is kinda amusing. Particularly when he does Coxian mannerisms, although he did not call Michael by girls names. But he did the whistle. Anyways, I know that one DEA agent was dirty and responsible for the deaths of several undercovers, but they had no qualms about getting him totally killed when they set him up like that. I mean, they had to make that play, or else Jesse would've been the dead one, but still. Also, what exactly does Jesse do now? I thought he was working for a private contracting firm. But he sure seems to have a lot of free time to help Michael.
Also, why did it have to be specifically salt water Fi soaked the magazines in to make them hard?
Suits- Given everything couldn't be all happy for Mike and Rachel, I guess they had to throw something else in their way given the other girl broke up with him. But wait, is Donna implying she and Harvey used to date when she was giving advice to Mike? I guess there were hints before, but this seems the biggest one so far.
WO Blather- So I mentioned in my last post about the randomness factor in weapon drops, which is annoying when I can't get a weapon to the way I want it. Brilliance is the one I look for the most, as that's the one that makes all your elements go off on every attack, not just certain ones. Its a good choice for most, particularly the DW characters and the long-string SW characters. Although since the characters in SW3 have more powerful musous than everyone else, it may be better to forgo brilliance and have verity (and +10 osmosis, of course). Particularly if they're the type to have the TTT/STTT/SSTTT/SSSTTT type moveset, since most of their attacks are charges anyways, they're like to be doing a lot of elemental hits already, so you're not losing that much.
Katsuie's true musou has an interesting property- "the super move" at the end of his normal musou is a kinda earthquake type deal, which doesn't do that much against officers, but the constant little damage spread out over a few seconds against peons increased the TTA meter fast. So I have bolt/slay/wind/absorption/osmosis/typhoon/agility/reach on him, though I may replace reach with echo, as reach isn't really necessary once you have typhoon/echo.
For the most part, I'm aiming for bolt/slay/wind/brilliance/absorption/typhoon/echo/agility, as that's pretty solid. Though I have actually been forgoing echo for prosperity right now for the weapon drops so I'l; have a wider range of characters I can farm weapons with. The problem with brilliance is that it needs your musou meter to be filled, but there are a number of characters whose musous or specials are just too good to not do constantly, so there's some thinking involved when going for the ideal build, is the elements all the time better, or being able to refill your meter so you can unleash specials and musous willy-nilly?
Oh, started playing Ling Tong. So it looks like he's the one who got his moves de-cloned from the nunchuk moveset. Its definitely fun. Though the problem I've found with the nunchuk and rapier movesets (even in DW7) was that they're so fast that I tend to do the wrong combos.
And after having played Jia Xu and Ling Tong, I wanna say Jia Xu was the one whose moves were de-cloned from the original sickle and chain. I'm still not a fan of the weapon though, and both of them are better suited to just using their musous and specials often, as they both have really good ones in both categories. Jia Xu's special is actually his second musou from DW7, which I'm glad is in there as that was my favorite move of his. And now he can do it more often since its a special!
