Got some cool news this morning, but I can't really elaborate until someone gets similarly good news later today. I did mention it on of my other social networking sites if you're that curious.

And is it me, or is the whole "child destined to kill some ruler" prophecy a self-fulfilling one?! Its like some king or emperor or whatever, his sages tell him, "A child will be born that will take over your rule!" So they end up trying to kill this kid and slaughter either his immediate family or his entire people. But the kid survives, and needless to say, he's pissed. Its like gee, I wonder why some random kid somewhere would try to kill you? Maybe because you had everyone he's ever known and loved killed? Its like, if they didn't do that the kid prolly would've grown up to live some nondescript life!

Anyways, so I was totally unfamiliar with whatever game Nemea came from in WO3. But after finally looking it up, I am totally annoyed we didn't get more characters from that game!
Bladestorm I understand, Warriors of Troy I can deal with only Achilles. But its not like they're limited to one character per game for the crossover characters, as Ninja Gaiden has both Hayabusa and Ayane, and the Vita version also gets Rachel (I'm kinda pissed at that, because the more the merrier) So why not bring more of the Trinity: Souls of Zill Oil characters, particularly since the game system of that game is very similar to WO and would thus be easier to port over?

I mean, since I don't know the story, maybe Nemea is more bad-ass in those games, but I would've loved to play Areus, because he because he looks cool. Or the Selene chick, she and Areus seem to have some cool looking DLC costumes. I'm neutral on Dagda, he'd be no different from Meng Huo. But Reig seems pretty bad-ass.

TV commentary:

True Blood- Heh, I tend to forget how everyone is inter-weaved on this show! Like it didn't occur to me, wait, the one chick, if she's the dead wolf guy's mother, than that would make her Luna's grandmother. Or that just because they hid Debbie's body doesn't mean its over and done with. Yeah, lots of people die on this show, but that doesn't mean murder is glossed over. It is still ridiculous though that they covered it up- I mean, her brother is a friggin deputy, and Sheriff Andy is begrudingly fine with her. Debbie was a druggie who had just killed Tara, so its not like she prolly wouldn't get off. Its like I know Sookie told Lafayette she totally murdered Debbie in a rage, when she could've just held her at gunpoint until the authorites arrived. But you know, she could just not tell people that! Its not like Jason and Andy would be hard pressed to find her guilty! And yeah, Tara is a vamp now, and I'm not sure about the rules on turning people are, like if Pam was breaking any vampire rules be turning her willy nilly, or if turning is actually illegal, but its something that you'd be hard pressed to prove. Or if its still murder if the murdered person was turned into a vamp and is back up and walking around? I mean, Sookie stiill has the self defense argument, because Debbie still put Tara down. Also, I'm curious as to how Alcide will react. I mean, he shunned Debbie, but he had a twisted love for her.

But looks like Tara is not permanently feral. It almost seemed like she was going to be nothing more than an animal given the shotgun blast to the head she received before being vamped. However, it looks like she's back to normal, though she's apparently never forgiving Sookie or Lafayette for getting her turned into a vampire.

We finally meet Stabler's character and the rest of the Authority council. Apparently, they're of the peacefully co-existing with humans for pragmatic purposes, and have been trying to root out those who follow "people are our food, we shouldn't care what they think" philosophy. While Bill and Eric are not any of those, given the sheer number of eff ups over the past year, the Authority wants to just kill them and be done with.

But they reveal Russell Edgington is still alive, and offer themselves up as bait for Russell to come after for the council to kill him. Stabler is tempted to kill them still, for possibly being liars or for letting him live in the first place. Am I missing something as to why they buried him alive instead of killing him? Particularly since he knows Sookie's secret. I mean, even in their plan to get the council to kill Russell, they're trying to make sure they kill him quick, before he reveals Sookie's feyness, which there's a lot of things that can go wrong with that.

Oh, and we still don't have any real details about what happened with Terry and Scott Foley in Iraq, but we see enough glimpses that it seems they may have accidentally slaughtered a bunch of innocents.
