TV Commentary:

Nikita- It was nice to see Nikita's cynicism crack for once. She obviously has a reason to not trust anyone, particularly the government. But I'm glad the guy Ryan recommended wasn't really a bad guy, just someone who was under Percy's thumb.

The Alex/Sean stuff was cute. Looks like they're officially together now. I did like the end, with Michael and Nikki looking over the team and happy about the "family" they've built, and feeling positive about being able to actually take down Percy for once. Particularly now that they have CIA backing. I mean, Sean's mom was helpful, but as she said, Madeline was still corrupt, she only helped them because they were going against Percy. At least Ryan's friend was an actual good guy who was being forced to help Percy and now that Percy has no leverage on him, he can go back to fighting the good fight.

Fringe- That was unexpected! I'm surprised they managed to keep Nimoy's return under wraps. It was a pleasant surprise. Ah, so in this timeline, he had cancer and faked his death in a car accident. So he didn't get stuck in the other universe and end up having to sacrifice himself. Though all the timeline differences seem to be due to Peter not living, so how come Bell turned evil?

In any case, how did Jones not see the betrayal coming when Bell was talking about sacrificing a piece?! You can't sacrifice your opponents pieces! Oh, and is their a limit to Liv's power? She seems to be able to do whatever is convenient for the plot.

Speaking of plot conveniences, I'm a little skeptical the one random lady came to the conclusion of people dying because they were moving and they needed to not move to be safe. That, and everyone actually believed her. I would've like something to prove her hypothesis, like maybe have some dickish stockbroker type be all, "This lady is crazy, she doesn't know what she's talking about!" and then walking away and combusting. That would at least lend credence to her hypothesis.

Degrassi- Aw, I loved the Bianca stuff in this ep! Man, he aunt is a c-word. Granted, Bianca prolly let her down in the past, but she's still family, she should try to support her niece! But then she goes to the Torres and thanks Drew and Adam's mom for all she's done for her, and that she was going to stay away before she messes up her sons lives. But Mama Torres wasn't having any of that. I love how she's taken Bianca under he wing and cared for her. Like Bianca said, if anyone had a reason to hate her, its Mrs. Torres. Between the stuff she did to Adam, and getting Drew involved with a bad element, a lesser person would've thrown Bianca to the wolves to protect her children. But she didn't, she took Bianca in and helped her turn her life around. And I guess we find out because she was like Bianca when she was her age.

Its interesting, because when they first introduced her, she was kinda a bitch. I mean, she was obviously outraged at the hazing Drew received when he joined the football team. But her attitude seemed like one of those "not my kid" parents who act like their kid is this saint who can do no wrong and everything is some other kids fault. But its funny how the perception changed a little when it was Adam, and she was using her bitchy powers to get the school to protect him from his homophobic classmates. Although she was all, "Why can't you act like a girl?" and pressured Adam to go back to being Gracie for the grandma that same ep. Though at least the mom came around quickly and accepted Adam for who he is without dragging it out for several episodes. And now the way she's being with Bianca? I like it, its sweet and touching.

I like this redemption arc for Bianca in general. It was pretty shitty what she did to Adam a few seasons ago, but nothing should be truly unforgivable if the person is truly penitent. And Bianca was. I mean, the fact that they're all so comfortable that Adam can even crack the joke, "Mom, look, its the daughter you always wanted!" shows how far they've come.

re: fringe- I'm skeptical about the lady too, but then again, I think when you see that many people around you falling and dying in such an unexpected way you may be more likely to listen to the person who isn't dying, heh.

Is there any reason why this Bell might not be from the alterverse? I can't think of one... just musing.
