TV commentary:

Person of Interest- So we get some more back story on Reese in this one. And he might have been encountered stuff having to do with the machine was before he met Finch. I was a little confused by the scenario though. Was it that the Chinese had cleared out that entire town and said it was a bird flu outbreak, but they secretly had techs working there? (because for a second there I thought the whole city had been slaughtered, but that would be insane) And was it Reese and L&O ADA's escorts who killed all those people, or did the escorts just get them there, and someone else killed those people?

It is ridiculous that Reese thought his partner was dead. I mean, unlike him, she wasn't wounded! And he still managed to get pretty far from the building before the missiles hit. Did he think she just stood there like an idiot?

Nikita- Ha, I'm amused the Italian Job remake was actually a plot point in this. Aw, and I still love the dynamic of the team- even though Nikita and Birkhoff constantly bicker, they really do care about each other. Nikita not wanting Birkhoff going into the field because of what happened last time, and then telling him at the end how he's always been her lifeline, the voice in her head on missions. And then there was the whole thing where he hesitated during their mission, and Niki accidentally got shot. It took Michael to remind Nikita why Birkhoff hesitated, because the first (and last) person he killed was Carla.

And he couldn't really talk to Nikita about how that weighed on him, because how awkward would that be, as he said "crying on her shoulder about feeling bad about killing her mother figure"? And he's not as money grubbing as we thought. It was less about the money and more that it was the last link to his old life, since Division had erased all that.

But I also liked Michael and Alex hanging out, we haven't seen that in a while. Plus, I liked cocky, hacker Alex, and the nice family-like moment there at the end.

Fringe- Ha, so they're back to the present for this episode! I wonder if they're going to revisit the world from last week before the end of the season? Interesting, I knew I recognized Pascale Hutton in the beginning. So it looks like Jones is using Cortexephan kids like Sally Clark and Nick Lane to carry out his nefarious plans. (heh, and it took a season or two, but we finally find out how Nick knew Lincoln Lee, apparently they grew up in the same neighborhood and Lincoln dated Nick's sister Kendra)

And what is his plan? To collapse the two universes to create a universe of his own making. Walter tells the Fringe teams such, and they're skeptical at first, but Walternate actually backs up his doppleganger. And then Jones' first attack happens, basically confirming Walter's theory. And how is Jones expected to survive all this? That one town the team had gotten trapped in earlier this season, it was apparently a test run, to see that he could create a safe place to "ride out the apocalypse".

Anyways, the easiest way to stop him is to shut down the bridge. But, that would cause the orange universe to stop healing (though it at least wouldn't get worse, its stabilized). So Liv comes up with an idea to try and use Nick to find his double. Fauxlivia is thankful that Liv is trying to come up with a way to stop Jones without having to shut down the bridge. Its easy to forget since the orange universe is more technologically advanced that it was also falling apart. It was interesting to hear Fauxlivia talk about enjoying visiting the blue verse since she got to experience things that had long since disappeared from her world, like rainbows.

Liv does manage to use alt-Nick to track down Nick, and directs Peter and Linc to him. They give themselves a pat in the back for a job well done. Its short lived, because the next batch of quakes still happen. Not sure why they were surprised though, they knew he wasn't working alone. There was at least Sally and 25 other operatives. Why would they think grabbing Nick would stop that?

But they at least have a chance to interrogate him. Too bad they're all independent cells who only talk to Jones and not each other. But, Nick claims Jones is on their side, that he's protecting them. Well, the blue-versers. Apparently, he fed the Cortexephan kids the lie about being at war with the other side, that the earthquakes on the blue side are collateral damage, but the damage to the orange side is far worse. Liv tells him that their universes were allies now, and Jones manipulated him and the others. But Nick doesn't want to go against Jones, because Jones helped fix him, after Walter and Bell screwed him up and gave him powers that led to the death of his sister. Jones gave him purpose, but Liv tells him it was all BS.

So the blueverse US government wants to shut down the bridge to protect themselves. Peter and Lincoln talk about how sad it will be if they have to break the connection. Linc brings up the fact that Peter's choosing to stay on the blue side even though he's from the other side. Peter tells him home is where the heart is, and like its not obvious that Lincoln is going to choose to go to the other side, since his only chance is with Fauxlivia now?

Anyways, Liv tells Nick that they have a way to prevent the impending disaster, and tells him about shutting down the bridge, which would stop the other side's healing process. So she implores him to think of all those lives. It seems to work, and he leads them to a warehouse were Jones might be. But it was a lie. While they search the warehouse, Nick uses his reverse empathy to cause the agent guarding him to stab himself so he can escape.

With that being a wash, the Fringe teams get together one last time. Broyles says Washington will support whatever decision they come up with, and they see no other choice but to close the bridge. Walter and Walternate have a heart to heart, worried that Peter may disappear if the machine is shut off. But they have to do what they have to do. And indeed, when everyone's pulling back to their respective universes, Lincoln decides to go to the orange universe, because of Fauxlivia.

Heh, Peter tells him it was an honor getting to know him and become his friend and they shake on it, but part of me thinks Linc's face is all, "Whatever dick, you stole the girl I was in love with, and now I have to go to a different universe to be with her doppleganger". Though Fauxlivia does seem happy that Lincoln is joining her.

Meanwhile, the Olivias have a meeting of the mutual admiration club. Wait, if you kiss your doppleganger's ass, is that arrogance and hubris? In the end, the two universes have one last sweet and poignant goodbye before shutting down the bridge. For a second there, Walter is freaked when he doesn't see Peter there, but he still is. Walter says he shall miss the other universe, and we end there. I wonder if they're still going to do the two universe thing after this?

Degrassi- Interesting, Dave is actually getting a lot of hate from Jacinta's friends on the Degrassi world's version of Facebook, who blame him for what happened to her. I'm just surprised they didn't drop this storyline. After last week's ep, I figured Dave would be all, that was sad, but since Jacinta didn't go to Degrassi, its out of sight, out of mind. Unfortunately, Alli can't stand to see everyone attacking Dave like that, so she posts a bunch of stuff in his defense, which only serves to stir up the hornet's nest. She tries to warn Dave, but Dave's fine with the hate, because he also blames himself.

And its been so long since we've seen Bianca, it looks like she's really turned her life around. And they didn't forget Katie's burgeoning painkiller addiction, so it was interesting to see those two storylines intersect, and it wasn't just about Drew. So Mr Simpson and Drew totally believe in Bianca, and Drew gets Katie to help her out. Bianca says she doesn't have to, but Katie's fine with it. And Bianca thinks she's winning Katie over, but does worry why Katie would want to be her friend. Drew tells her to stop being negative, and that Katie is just starting to see the awesomeness he sees, and that Bianca deserves happiness. Too bad Katie is just using her to score drugs, and getting her dangerously close to violating her probation.

Bianca ends up taking Katie home after she's blasted out of her mind, where Katie claims Bianca was just waiting for her to screw up so she could swoop in and steal Drew. Bianca thought Katie really wanted to be her friend, and Katie tells her she already has her own friends. So, Bianca gets pissed, blasts Katie with water, waking up Maya. Bianca tells the littler Matlin that her sister is high. Bianca does feel a little bad when Katie starts crying though.

She goes to Drew to tell him that things didn't work out, and all of a sudden, Drew and Katie have been having problems "for a while now". Bianca tells Drew Katie has problems, and Drew asks her for advice on what to do, and she says she's not the right person to ask, because she's biased since she still likes him. He kisses her, but she pushes him away saying its not right. Though she's not totally averse to the idea of him leaving Katie for her, but its definitely something they need to discuss and not go into hastily.

And of course Mo and Marisol have the prosaic storyline of her being embarrassed to be seen in public with him. And being high maintenance! He takes her on their first date, only she doesn't think its their first date, because its so cheap and simple. So he lets her continue to believe they're just hanging out and lies about the great date he has planned.

ok I'm not reading your spoiler cuts since I haven't watched Friday's Fringe yet, but the 19th episode of every Fringe season is the mismatch ep, the one that doesn't fit into the regular storyline, a standalone sort of episode. So it's not supposed to fit with the rest (so last week's episode isn't supposed to fit in the storyline of the week previous or Friday's ep). ;)
