TV commentary:

Pretty Little Liars- Ah, so A is finally revealed! And just like in the books, its Mona! But unlike the books, when she tries to kill Spencer and falls off the cliff instead, she survives! But I'm getting ahead of myself.

Its a week after last week's ep, and Garrett is being charged with Ali's murder, with the prosecutor's "confident" they'll get a conviction. Indeed, even the news reports that Garrett became a cop so he could get rid of the evidence against him.

So A sends the Liars invites to the masquerade ball and threatens them to give her back "what they stole" before midnight the day of the dance or else one of them is dead. Spencer's like, eff that! She wants to go over Ali's bag one more time and figure out who A is before she gets them. They make plans to do this, when Mona shows up wanting to go dress shopping at this vintage shop she found out about. They all blow her off. Hanna in particular lies and says she's studying with Caleb. But later, Mona texts a pic to Hanna of her and Caleb, and she's all miffed that Hanna is apparently not with him as she said. But Hanna has no time to explain herself with the finding out of A to worry about.

Anyways, a further check of the bag leads them to a creepy hotel that they learned Ali stayed at right before she died under her Vivian Darkbloom pseudonym. While Aria and Spencer (Team Sparia, HA!) find that out from the ledger, Em gets a call from Maya (or at least her phone, considering what we learn later), but loses signal before they can talk. So she leaves Hanna alone in the room while she's showering. Which BTW, Hanna in nothing but a skimpy little towel? spc('Nice!') A sneaks in there while she's in the shower, but leaves when Hanna gets a call.

The next morning, A creepily spies on them from the next room. They head home, disappointed they're no closer to finding out who A is. Spencer goes to see Toby, who's still giving her the cold shoulder. Also, Jenna drives off to some park or something, and meets with some guy who's face we don't see, and they're cooking up something between them (or rather, she seems to be ordering him).

At the dance, Mona apparently arranged for Caleb to surprise Hanna at the dance. Spencer think its really sweet of her to do that. Meanwhile Ezra surprises Aria and if people were paying attention, I think he basically just outed their relationship. I dunno, we didn't see any reaction shots from the rest of the people at the dance, but he kissed her on the middle of the dance floor while they were unmasked. So someone had to have seen. And its a school dance! As for Em, she gets Paige, who apologizes for not fighting for her.

Anyways, Mona tells Spencer about the vintage store she wanted them to go to for their party dresses. It happens to be in the same town as creepy hotel. Mona has a flashback, one that we should immediately suspicious of, because its colored differently than previous flashbacks. Unlike the kind of haze we get from the Liar's flashbacks, we get a kinda weird black and white thing with only some things colored, particularly Ali and Mona. Mona caught Ali at the store spying on someone. Spencer figures out that Ali wasn't trying to hide from A, but to catch her.

In any case, Spencer thinks she and Mona should check the hotel again, particularly since she figured out from the log that no one has even checked into room 2 ever since Ali checked in. So she leaves the dance with her and they head back to the hotel to check out the room. Sure enough, its A's base. As Spence and Mona investigate the room, feeling thoroughly creeped out, Mona offers Spencer gum. The wrapper of which seems to be the exact same kind being used as a bookmark in one of the books she found.

Sure enough, Mona reveals herself as A and takes her for a ride. Mona says she was angry at the rest of the Liars for coming back to town and stealing Hanna from her. Which makes me think she's not the true A, because A was already picking on Ali before all this, and her motivation is something that would have only happened post Ali's death. She offers Spencer the chance to join the A-team, but luckily for Spence, she surreptitiously dials Aria's phone to alert them of what happened. (Though the girls figured out it was Mona on their own when they figure out Hanna's Mona phone was bugged) Spence manages to signal her friends to where they're headed.

Spence eventually pulls the handbrake on the car and gets out, somewhat fortuitously right when the Liars are nearby. She escapes, and Em and Aria want Hanna to run Mona down, but Hanna can't do it. Mona is still her friend, and she's devastated over the reveal. Mona catches up with Spencer, and they struggle, but Mona falls off a cliff. As I said earlier unlike the books, she survives.

But with her caught, Dr Sullivan can finally come out of hiding. Apparently Mona was threatening her son (who is he?). And apparently Toby was in contact with the Doc the whole time?!

So wait, Toby was secretly working with Dr. Sullivan on their own anti-A thing? So while Spence was busy trying to make Toby think she doesn't love him to protect him from A, he was doing the exact same thing? They have a tearful reunion and I guess are back together? So happy ending! Only, nope, the girls head home, and when they get there, Pam greets them and tells them the police found a body, most likely Maya.

Of course, even though Mona is outed as A, we have more questions than answers. For one, there's the fact that the tag shows Mona was taking orders from someone else. Is the dead body really Maya? If so, what happened to her?

And it was confusing, because Spencer says Mona never called the girls, but they were indeed looking for a girl in a black swan dress. Whom they saw (with Lucas! What was that all about?!) and chased and promptly forgot about when they got the secret call from Spencer about Mona. That wasn't supposed to be Jenna was it? She was at the dance, but I couldn't remember what her dress looked like.

Speaking of, who the hell was the dude she was talking to out in the middle of nowhere? If Mona is A, then what's Jenna's deal? Is she the one pulling Mona's strings? Does she have a totally separate agenda altogether? Who else is involved, Mona implied there was an "A-team", meaning A was a team effort, despite Dr Sullivan's claims that Mona was a super-genius that seemed omniscient. I guess we'll find out next season!

Being Human- So we finally learn more about Sally's sitch. The boys seek help from Zoe, though they keep mum on Sally shredding Nick. After talking with Aiden and Josh about Sally's behavior, Zoe thinks she's sussed out what's going on. Sally was so freaked about missing out on her door, that she concocted the idea of the Reaper "creating balance" because she was worried that she broke some sort of balance. This eventually manifested in the behavior we saw in the last few eps and culminating in the Reaper taking over.

Where's Sally? Trapped in a fantasy world in her own mind, where she's living in the house, engaged to the Reaper. She has no idea who Zoe, Aiden, or Josh are, with their words reaching her in the fantasy world through im chats and reflections and other things that make her think someone is messing with her or she's going nuts.

The Reaper, figuring out their interference, locks the three of them in the house. Its a full moon, and Aiden's also jonesing, so he figures they'll tear each other (and Zoe) apart. He also reveals that Sally shredded Nick. So Zoe's all eff Sally, so Josh and Aiden have to reveal their supernatural-ness to her.

She goes into Sally's head to snap her out of it. While she's unconscious, Aiden loses control while Josh is busy trying to figure out how to trap himself to prevent himself from killing Aiden and Zoe and starts feeding on Zoe.

Luckily, Josh stops him in time and tells Aiden to feed on him. Aiden says he was told never to feed from wolves, but seeing as he has no choice, he does. Josh is the best thing he's ever tasted, so it seems like wolf blood is really good at first. But then he starts getting poisoned. Which is actually good, because the Reaper was trying to stop Zoe by choking her out, but Aiden's screams of horror stun him long enough for Sally to see the "real world" and reject the fantasy world so she can get control back of her body.

So, now that she's herself again, they're no longer trapped. Josh leaves to lock himself up for the night. Zoe, on the other hand is incredibly pissed and will never forgive Sally for shredding Nick. It seems like the Reaper is still around though- he's a part of Sally. So I guess he'll be like Sam's Lucifer or Baltar's Chipsix? He says he'll be there in the background waiting for Sally to slip up again so he can take control again.
