I'm a fookin rocket scientist!

Misfits- Finally caught the new episode of the Misfits, after a week. There is something in the ep that made me go spcv('Nice!')
clevemire prolly knows what I'm talking about. Also, I'm amused how vile the show can be (even with Nathan gone!). I guess you can get away with that whole fingering scene on British TV? More on that stuff later.
Anyways, given the events of the Christmas special, we know the gang has different powers now. Kelly is now a "fookin rocket scientist", which is amusing if only to hear her say "fookin rocket scientist". But I've always been annoyed with "intelligence-based" powers that are ultra specific like that. Its always so vague on how such things can actually work. Alisha is clairvoyant, being able to see through other people's eyes. Simon is now a precog, and Curtis can now switch genders. Heh, one, isn't it kinda racist that when they first bump into Rudy and freeze girl and she frames them and the cop chases them, of the four to follow, he chases down the black guy? Also, he was still wearing the same clothes when he gender bended to get away. Its like, wouldn't the cop just think maybe his mind was playing tricks on him, and since female Curtis also had short hair, he might've seen a girl instead of a guy? I mean, he chased someone down this dead end, and now that person is gone, replaced by someone who's wearing the exact same clothes, but a different gender, would he really be all, "Gee, that was weird! I guess that person got away!"
I suppose Alisha and Simon are on full on couple mode now? I couldn't remember if they were already by the time of the Christmas special. Its kinda amusing how much development Simon has gone though over the course of the series. Because the first series, he definitely seemed like he was on his way to being a villain. He was kinda creepy serial-killery, and let's not forget in the flashback to their past, he almost attempted to rape Kelly. Actually, its funny how his development is kinda circular. Future him made Alisha fall for him with his cool heroic-ness, so she started treating Simon better, which helped put him on his way to becoming the guy Super-hoodie was.
But anyways, the new guy, Rudy has a connection to Alisha- she effed him like it was nothing and ignored him afterward, which caused him to almost kill himself back in uni. No offense to Alisha, but wasn't her sexual proclivities kinda well known amongst the group already? It seems kinda weird she was all, "I didn't you want to know what a big slut I was back then!" to Simon. Not that she was actually a slut, I mean, its kinda her prerogative, if she was a guy, people would be high fiving her.
Anyways, Rudy's power is that he can make a clone of himself (not known if he can just make 1, or if he can do more if he tried). Heh, is it effed up that I thought that if he had that power, he wouldn't try to go for the devil's threesome with that totes cute chick he was buggering? Seriously, that scene the next morning, where she's in the little T-shirt, and when she goes to make him breakfast it rides up and flashes her ass? HOTT! But it was kinda hilarious that she was apparently really into anal and Rudy wouldn't stop talking about it. Which did lead to the hilariously gross moments in the ep, like when he was in the bathroom talking about "washing shit off his cock" and then the aforementioned fingering scene in the bar, where he wipes off in front of the gang. Classy.
(But argh, what a waste. And that poor girl, her makeshift eulogy was about how much she liked anal) And how the hell did Rudy get her anyways? She was all disgusted with him, and then confident clone comes back to start talking to her and started off with, "So you were talking about wanting to frak me..." and somehow she's all of a sudden into him?! WTF?!!
It was kinda annoying that he thought he was done with freezing girl when he framed her. She can freeze people, she can easily escape from anything, or kill you while you're defenseless! I've always felt such a power was kinda unfair.
Anyhoo, I'm also kinda amused how desensitized the gang is now to death. They have no problems getting rid of bodies, because they've done it dozens of times now. But heh, they're back in community service, because they got caught with Rudy in a stolen car. But I guess that's the theme, with them in the jump suits.
