I guess for me, if I watch TV, I WATCH TV. i.e., if I choose to watch a show, its usually not half-assed. I mean, for the occasional show I don't watch every ep of, I will at least rely on the internet to fill in the blanks. So I'm incredulous to see someone ask an entertainment gossip reporter during one of their usual Q&A sessions on the internet with the public to ask, "Is show X canceled? I haven't seen it in weeks?" First, how do you live in effin America and not know a little thing called The World Series causing shows to be on hold for a while until its over. And secondly, if you're asking a frickin' entertainment gossip person this question, it means you have the internet. And you know what, instead of waiting for this person to have their Q&A to ask about your show, there's this little frakkin' thing called google, where you can be all "Is X canceled?" and you'll have your answer. Seriously, WTF?! Are people morons?

Also, it baffles me how one can be invested in a show and not understand the fundamentals of TV. Let's take a certain TV show's last season ender cliffhanger for instance. In it, the female lead is shot by a sniper. Cue the forums where some people were all, "OMG, if X dies, I'm quitting this show." Because yeah, a show is definitely gonna kill off one of the romantic leads. WTF?!! And if they were, the way the entertainment gossip news world is, you're gonna hear about it beforehand, most likely in the form of an announcement of a long time actor/actress leaving a show they've been on for years.

TV commentary:

Castle- Not to be cold blooded or anything, but while Alexis' "whole world" was indeed at the bank, at least she would be an extremely rich orphan if something happened to Castle and her grams there. Also, given Trapper John asked for Beckett to be the one he was communicating with, it stands to reason he might recognize her voice. So maybe you don't want to send her in as the fake paramedic? I guess the boys were off investigating the old lady's apartment, and they prolly want someone Castle would recognize as a cop, but still, if the head robber talked to her any, the jig might've been up. Things that might've also caused the jig to be up? All the frickin' meaningful glances Castle and Beckett gave each other. They kept saying the doctor-robbers were very good and very professional, you think they'd pay more attention as the paramedic was strapping epileptic guy in and notice the goings on between Castle and Beckett.

Then again, maybe they knew Castle was warning her about the C-4? And if he didn't, fake-epileptic guy would be all, "There's C-4!" once he was outside, because I realize now the plan would've totally failed since the cops were getting ready to storm the building right then and it was the presence of the explosives that changed their mind. Though I suppose the robbers didn't know that, but the ep previously established they knew exactly what the cops were going to do, being mercs, who were prolly trained in some of the same methods themselves.

I had a feeling epileptic guy was in on it. And really how elaborate was that plan?! I guess his worry was that the ex would find out that he knew where she was if she heard anything about something happening with the safe deposit box, but how the hell was she gonna know? I suppose he couldn't risk it, since he didn't know where she was until after he accessed it, and how close or far it was going to be, so once it was known the box was broken in to, he wouldn't know how much time he had unless he did hide the fact that he went after the box. Like I guess he didn't know who was the other half of the communication via the safety deposit box, otherwise he would've just gone straight to the source (though I guess then there was the risk the priest wouldn't talk), so he didn't know if they would be warned or not, and if they would pass along the warning before he got to his ex. As it turns out, I don't think it would've been a problem- it was her "parents" accessing the box. He killed the mother, and the bank was thinking the priest was the father. So its not like they'd know to alert him if something happened with the box. But again, I guess the bad guy didn't know that.

Though he did know Castle knew that, and was having Beckett look into the box. You'd think he'd have tried to have something happen to Castle so that info wasn't revealed. I guess it was too late to really do anything about it, but given the crazy steps he's taken already, but it was a definite loose end. Actually, it wasn't too late. Why not "accidentally" mess up Castle's morse code attempts? But yeah, thinking about it, the whole point was that no one knew why the robbers were there! Having Castle know about the box throws a monkeywrench in their plans.

Also, at first I thought the whole bank robbers blowing themselves was a fake-out, and they brought fake body parts with them or something and got out some other way, but I guess epileptic guy blew them up when they were trying to escape? But I would think he'd try to kill everyone in the bank, not just the robbers! But I guess he had no control over that. Of course, I guess he had no idea if he'd get all the robbers either, which seems uncharacteristically sloppy given how elaborate this plan was. I mean, I assume he would've detonated the bombs while they were planting it in the vault to blow through the floor? But it doesn't take all the mercs to plant the bombs, how would he know they'd all be in that area?

I guess I'm over thinking it, but unless he had access to surveillance, I guess he'd have to wait for the radios on the bombs to go active, then he'd blow it immediately, assuming the mercs were still there? And if he was the one pulling the strings, you'd think he'd do it in a way that gets the hostages killed too. I mean, even though Castle told the cops about the box already, he's proven himself to be a clever witness, you'd think he'd want to silence him before he possibly picked up on more things and figure it out. And killing the bank employees to slow down the cops efforts to figure out what was in the box would help his cause also. Though I guess the cops had all that info already, but still, you never know what a random employee might know about the whole situation. I mean, he had his mother in law tortured and murdered for info, and cold bloodedly back stabbed the merc team he hired and blew them all up. What's a few more bodies to him?
