I finally saw "A Better Tomorrow II". I noticed it in Chris' DVD collection when I was over at his place last night. Which isn't as hard to get to as I thought. Its just really far. Anyways, he let me borrow it. I liked it better than the first one, which kinda put me to sleep. Mebbe because there was more action, it grabbed my attention more. People say ABT had the better storyline, but I think the storyline in ABTII is pretty good as well. Although from what I do remember about ABT, I liked how they portrayed the main character and his strained relationship with his cop brother and how sad/angry he was at the treatement of Chow Yun Fat's character, who was basically treated like a dog by the very people he ended up being crippled for. ABT is more of a drama, whereas ABTII is more of an action movie, though not as much as "Hard Boiled" or "The Killer".

Also watched "A Walk to Remember" again. Call me lame and/or stupid, but yes, I even have it on DVD. Mandy Moore's rendition of Switchfoot's "Only Hope" is awesome. I guess I liked it better than similar films because the guy doesn't freak out and run away and waste the time they have left. That and it has a happier sort of ending since the last you see of their relationship is their wedding day and the whole dying thing is done off camera. I also listened to some of the commentaries. And apparently, one of the favorite scenes for a lot of people is the "state line" scene, where Shane West takes Mandy Moore to the state line and tells her look, "You're at two places at once!" You know, because one of the things on her to do list for life is to be in two places at once. Which is a pretty weird ambition if you ask me. But anyways, they gush on what a great thing that is he did. I guess they meant fulfilling stuff off her list.
