Just got back from seeing Signs with Chris and the GMA. It was pretty cool. Some lady behind us when we were leaving the theater thought it was stupid. I myself liked it. And it did kinda freak me out. The movie set the mood with the soundtrack and cinematography, not with gore or cheap shocks. I don't know how I'd compare it to The Sixth Sense or Unbreakable but I'd recommend it.

No, I still have a ford. I just think Subaru makes some cool cars. Anyways, I saw your commentary on Signs. It was a little kitchy, and the "it all comes together" is a bit contrived. But I still like how they tried to scare you. I mean, some people thought was corny and were totally not scared, but a lot of it was subtle. Like him dropping the flashlight and when he finally gets it back on, he sees a blue foot. I mean, big deal, its a blue foot, right? I guess I'm sounding a little pretentious, but its more subtle than finding a grisly body. I thought him moving the TV and then you could see the alien in the reflection was kind of neat. I dunno, I guess I prefer the scary noises let your imagination run away with you kind of horror as opposed to the grisly bloody stuff.

Yeah, in that sense it was good. I mean, I got really into it when the scary stuff started happening, but the very ending was just stupid. I think it could have ended with them getting out of the cellar. Reviving the kids, etc. I could have done without all the baseball bat swinging and water spraying. Remove that stuff and it's not a bad movie.
