So, I haven't actually been watching the Glee project, but I have been keeping up on who's been kicked off and who's still around since it will have an impact on Glee proper. I bring it up because I had this weird dream last night that I was a contestant on the show. And the judges were letting us know the group number we'd be singing (Gary Jules' "Mad World", which they just did this past Sunday), and the glasses kid with the guitar (Cameron?) was remarking on how Quinn Jr (Marissa?) and I were the worst singers and how my timing was off. I just found it weird because while I have dreamed myself in lots of different sitches, this was the first time I dreamt I was on a musical competition show.

TV commentary:

Pretty Little Liars- So Hanna and Lucas are talking again. But she's doing that thing I hate- when some dude pours his out to some girl and she rejects him, but she feels guilty so she goes overboard trying to find another girl for him. That way she can get him to focus his amorous intentions towards someone else and they can hang out again without it being awkward. And then they're all, "Oh, why don't you talk to her and ask her out? Why are you so scared?" Gee, Ida know, maybe because the first time he overcame his shyness and told a girl how he feels, she totally rejected him?! They should remember since it was they who did the rejecting!! Its like lay off the guy and give him to time to get over you on his own time table, don't force him on some other girl because you feel uncomfortable.

Also, while it is indeed true Ezra is no longer Aria's teacher, she's still underage, so no, they can't be public with their little relationship. Particularly at the college where her father teaches!! It took the morons all of about a minute to have someone see them- namely, Jackie. Why she did not immediately go to her co-worker and say, "Hey, I just spotted my pervy ex-fiancee frenching your underage daughter!" I dunno. But I expect her to. And I can't wait to see the fur fly! Hopefully it will be as hilarious as when Lux's parents found out on Life Unexpected.

And that's not Aria's only problem. She's managed to upset Jenna royally by pretending to be some girl named "Anita" because she was too scared to face her when she finds out they're in the same class. So when Jenna ends up pouring her heart out to her and finds out she just showed vulnerability to Aria, she gets pretty pissed. She has a right to be angry at the liars, since they did BLIND HER FOR LIFE.

And interesting, so the mystery person Melissa has been seeing is Wren. Well, not so mysterious since the previouslies showed him, its like "Gee, I wonder if this character from way back in the beginning of first season will be coming back?" Hmm, I guess its possibly his kid and not Ian's? And wait, is he the mysterious person Jason has been keeping in his house? Or has Spencer just been assuming that the person Jason is hiding and the person Melissa was seeing were one in the same because she thought they were both Ian?

Other stuff: Emily has a nice moment with her mom, and she also considers sending a fake scholarship letter but decides against it and rips it up. Unfortunately, A had the same idea, and mails a letter themselves to keep Em in Rosewood.

Spencer spends her time freaking out, trying to re-connect with her sister who has other things to worry about, and finding Melissa's ring and hocking it to buy Tobey a new truck so he can get a job and make enough money to get the two of them the eff out of town. It should be come as no surprise that A buys the ring before Spencer gets it back. Also, she does not tell Tobey her suspicions, because she's worried he'll confront Jason and get hurt.

Other Hanna stuff, besides playing matchmaker with Lucas, she plays matchmaker with her parents. Her dad's getting awfully flirty with his ex-wife even though he's engaged. He's having a spat with the fiancee, and while he's busy having a nice friendly chat with Ashley, he gets a text from her apologizing. Unfortunately, Hannah spies it on the table, and seeing her parents happy together, deletes it.

Hanna is what Lauren on miobi should be more like...
a sneaky lying bitch that screws up and pays for it...who is likable and nicer to her friends

Ah know, raht? Lauren never seems to face any consequences whatsoever for the stuff she's done. And most of her treachery is done on her "friends", and its like, why the hell are they friends with her after all the crap she's pulled on them? Hanna is likable because when she screws up, she pays for it. And she's loyal to her friends- yeah, A made her give Aria's mom that ticket to that one out of town event Aria and Ezra went to, but she at least stopped it (well, Caleb did for her) and she felt really guilty and came clean to Aria soon afterward. I don't even think Emily, Payson and Kaylee know the full extent of all the things Lauren has done to screw them over.

So yeah, the MIOBI writers should definitely take a page from the Hanna Marin book if they want Lauren to be a character the viewers can actually get behind.
