Played some Arkham Horror with the usual suspects tonight. Good game, now I can finally say I've fulfilled my dream of slaying Cthulu! Things weren't looking so good as there was no way we were going to stop him from awakening. But he did, and we totally kicked his ass, and not by the skin of our teeth thing. Then again, he is somewhat easier than the other old ones, in that he doesn't do direct damage, he just lowers max stamina or sanity. So its more like a timer thing, where you need to cause enough damage before time runs out. With a -6 to the roll, that's normally pretty hard. But we were prepared, some of us blessed, so we were all doing some pretty good damage per round. I mean, I had a bonus to my fight already, but also a +1 to each of my weapons, and I had a gun for each hand. So even with the -6, I was rolling 10 dice per attack normally, and even had a round of 16 dice, still blessed, and getting to re-roll ones. And the others were able to maximize their turns to get at least one turn comparable to that. Between the 5 of us, it wasn't too hard to do the 80 or plus so damage we needed to.

DW7 stuff: So, I'm almost done do everything there is to do, barring the DLC stuff I'll hopefully be able to get my hands on once the PSN is back up. Beaten all four stories, gotten all the weapons, unlocked all the weapon seals, beaten all the non-character specific stages in Conquest mode. I've maxed the bonds and gotten all the skills for all the Wei and Jin at least. I haven't unlocked everyone yet though- I still haven't played Ma Dai, Liu Shan, Bao Sanniang, Zhang Jiao, Dong Zhou or Meng Huo. But that's just six characters left to play. Haven't maxed anyone out yet, but I think I'm close with my three favorite Wei- Xiahou Dun, Zhang Liao, and Xu Huang. But even then, I think I still have a ways to go.

I didn't realize you were a big Xiahou Dun fan, but I guess it makes cents given what I saw of his personality while playing through the Wei storyline. :)

Apparently Ma Dai has some of the best dialogue. I'm gonna have to try him out soon.

Heh, you didn't know? I always thought Xiahou Dun was awesome! He's pretty bad-ass.

Ma Dai seems like an interesting character, I just haven't gotten to him because he uses a friggin giant paintbrush as his weapon.
