90210- Hey, Naomi and Max are out and proud, so that's cool. But geez, could the rest of the show be more cliche with Annie's new senile ex-actress boss/friend and Ivy's cancer boyfriend? And I'm still offended that they went there and had Ade switch out Silver's meds, because that's beyond wrong to do to someone!
Gossip Girl- Damn this show, always giving me enough to hold out a glimmer of hope for Dair, but not enough to truly believe the writers won't frak things up in the end. So Serena heard Vanessa's message, and she's suspicious of Dan and Blair, but not enough to believe Vanessa's claims outright. So she has Charlie spy on them, and she does catch Dan and Blair and tells her cousin. However, Blair is there to secretly meet Prince Louis, whereas Dan was tricked by one of Louis handlers to spy on him. Dan's annoyed and given his secret feelings, has no desire to watch them get all lubby-dubby. He manages to leave without Charlie noticing, so when Serena shows up, Blair's just there with Prince Louis. So Serena thinks Charlie just mis-saw Dan.
This kinda irks Charlie, because she knows what she saw, and decides to follow Dan. Unfortunately, later that day, the Prince informs Blair that he's there secretly because his family doesn't approve, and his handler found out through Dan and now he has to go back. So Blair meets up with Dan to chew him out, but he informs her he wasn't trying to tank her relationship, and he quit his "assignment" once he found she was involved. She says they can fix it, and come up with a cockamamie plan to have Louis' handler catch her and Dan kissing at the big party that night- that way he'll believe Louis' claims that he and Blair are just friends. Of course, Charlie catches them being all chummy at the clothing store picking out an outfit for Dan to match Blair's dress, which she snaps and send to Serena.
Serena's irked, and to no surprise, the plan blows up in their face when they manage to fool the Handler, but then Charlie sends the pic to Gossip Girl, so everyone knows. Penelope is absolutely ecstatic about this blow to B's popularity, but Blair doesn't really care. What she does care about is trying to explain to Serena. She and Dan explain the plan (and again Dan goes along with Blair's lie that the kiss meant nothing, even though he's still seriously crushing on her), but Serena tells them about what V told her, and is mad that they for some reason thought they needed to hide their friendship from her.
After Dan leaves, Blair admits she does see what Serena sees in him, which irks Serena even more, because she thinks Blair is just trying to one up her. But heh, despite Blair's claims that she doesn't like Dan in that way, she quickly defends what she and Dan have and tells her off. So they're friendship is strained at the moment.
Of course, Dan and Vanessa's friendship is now non-existent due to her telling Serena about the kiss. In the end, Louis decides to come out about his relationship with Blair, screw what his family thinks. Meanwhile, Dan is drowning his sorrows over a beer with Charlie, who has figured out from her spying that Dan does actually like Blair.
So like I said, I'm hopeful with Dan still pining and Blair's thing with Louis set to inevitably blow up in her face, that she'll admit her feelings by season's end. Though the preview for next week has Chuck once again making a play for Blair, possibly proposing? Ugh. Though maybe Dan will end up being the dark horse who comes from behind and wins out over Chuck and Louis in the end.
