Interesting, so I was mistaken about needing a buddy to shoot with you at the range at Wild West Traders. Apparently that was for something else. But that's convenient. So, hit that range today, and I definitely need more practice! I opted to use a traditional silhouette target, I wanted something big so I had a better idea of where my rounds are going:

As you can see, some preferred to shoot at nazi zombies. I think I need to really work on tightening my groups before venturing into longer ranges. I mean, everyone else on the range was sticking to 21 feet while I was opting for a longer range. I suppose I did okay, certainly not up to the standards I set for myself, but I kept it on the paper. Behold my suckiness: (Oh, these images I hung up the targets at home to take pics, as I didn't want to waste range time taking pictures there.)

21 feet, my attempt at two and ones (i.e. two to the heart, one to the head). As you can see, I hit the head just a little more often than I missed it. And the torso shots are all over the place! I mean, they're all within the rings, with the majority in the 9, 10 and x rings, but I'd like to get that group to be way tighter. That'll take practice, I suppose.

21 feet, just trying to get two fully loaded clips (38 rounds total) as many center of mass as I can. A few strays, but the majority are still in the 9, 10, and X rings, so that's good, I guess.

Now at 30 feet, again, 2 full clips. All 38 hit paper, though 2 missed the target.

Another 38 rounds at 30 feet. Only one miss this time, and I got a slightly better grouping.
Now I decided to try 45 feet:

Heh, don't be fooled by that group in the center- I had 10 rounds of an ammo box left, so I decided to just fire them all at 21 feet to see if my aim improved. But yeah, I guess I can at least say my aim is no worse at 45 feet than it is at 30.
I guess I'm decent, but I want to get good enough to get the wows and accolades I used to when playing games like silent scope at the arcade. EDIT- I guess for posterity I should say what I was firing- A Springfield Armory XDM, 9mm, with the 4.5 inch barrel, 19 round clip.
