TV commentary:
Chuck- Hmm, well, that was interesting. Wait, so they've defeated Volkoff and Chuck and Ellie have their mom back. Now what?! I mean, I liked the resolution, but where do they go from there?
90210- Wow, Emily really does look like a young, brunette Jennie Garth. (Well, except when she smiles, because her smile is a little gummy) But yeah, several of those scenes in last night's ep, she's like the spitting image of Kelly Taylor. But ha, okay, I found her machinations kinda amusing, how she managed to turn Naomi and Ade against her with just a few words.
Speaking of, is it me, or with Naomi randomly mentioning her trust, that Aeryn Sun's weird cult is going to try and fleece Naomi for all her money? And Ade, I hate how they've made her such a hateful character. I mean, the whole thing in the sweat lodge was nice. Where the reason she's trying to be an ultra-famous bitch (which, do they forget she used to be on a TV show, they act like the music thing was her first brush with fame) was because she gave up her kid so they could both have a better life, but if she's just gonna be this loser teenager, why did she give up her kid? Though that was kinda hilarious that Silver and Naomi forgave her, and then when it was Silver's turn, and Ade was looking at her all happy and hopeful, she didn't want to tell the whole room that what she wanted was Navid. It was kinda sketchy of her to bang Navid (even if it did seem miraculous that she ended up "conjuring" him from nowhere), particularly since she now knows why Silver has been so heinous lately. I mean, she was feeling bad about the whole thing when Adrianna was being a big C-word all the time and treating Navid like crap, but Ade finally opens up and they're back to being friends, and now Silver goes and screws her friend over like that by banging her boyfriend?
But I digress, they make some progress with Ade there, but then when she goes home and tells the paps about her child out there, and he's all that's kinda boring unless she wants him back, and then she tells him she is? Again, what a frakkin' krant! I mean, she's going to ruin some family for fame? It sucks that she gave it up, but too late now! If she wants to eventually be in its life for the reasons she gave in the sweat lodge, sure, but if she just wants the kid to get back in the limelight, that's beyond awful!
And wait, did Charlie really just take off and hook Liam and Annie back up? Heh, I thought when he did that text, he was trying to catch them in a lie, and when Annie showed up, he'd be all "I know all about you, eff you!"
Pretty Little Liars- Why do they keep on introducing new characters? There's enough bland guys on this show as it is, its hard enough trying to keep up. Like now they have the one "criminal" type guy with the long hair and mysterious ethnicity helping Hannah (and unknowingly, Aria) out of that jam? What happened to Lucas? I'd rather see Hanna get with the nice nerd guy then with some pretty boy punk who thinks he's so friggin cool.
And that end confused me. They saw Alison's brother in the window, and he saw them. Like what was that supposed to signify?
And last week had Piper talking to A, this week, apparently Mrs. Garrett was helping her?
Gossip Girl- Saving the best for last. The ep was full of Dair goodness. You know, I could care less about the other story lines on this show, I prolly would've given up on it a while ago if they didn't keep this potential coupling as a possibility. I think there's a lot of potential here, I mean, a long arc involving them getting together and all the stuff they have to deal with once they do would be way more interesting than rehashing the same damn story lines they've been having for Chuck/Blair and Dan/Serena. But of course, they're prolly worried about pissing off the Chair shippers.
But yeah, Dan and Blair getting the same internship and the hijinks from that was amusing. But Blair actually not trying to stab Dan in the back, that's huge for her! I mean, in the past, she was willing to do anything to get what she wants, regardless of who stands in her way, even if it was Chuck or Serena.
but then Dan assumed she would stab him in the back, so he pro-actively screwed her over first. He's fully willing to fight back when she's being a brat, but with the way things turned out, he learned she didn't getting the internship by having her mommy call in a favor (which, ironically, he had gotten the internship thanks to Lily pulling strings), and sees that she does work incredibly hard for "normal things" like a needed internship and without always resorting to just screwing over the competition.
So I think both developments inch them closer to finally hooking up- Blair willing to trust and not screw someone over to get what she wants, Dan seeing Blair's not always spoiled and insane. And then Dan gets her the internship back, and you can tell she's touched. Even if she tells the lady later she and Dan were never really friends. I don't think she means it though. Is she lying? Or is she falling for him, so they've kinda skipped the friends step, so she doesn't think of him as a friend, but potentially something more.
In any case, I wished they ended things with them better this ep. I mean, Dan getting her the internship back, and Blair deciding on whether she should call him, I would've at least like to have seen Dan get some acknowledgment that Blair was appreciative of the gesture.
