Criminal Minds- Is it wrong that I thought Adrianne Palicki's character on Criminal Minds last night was totally hot? She was supposed to be a psychopath! I just don't know what it is about those Natural Born Killers-ish couples.
Friday Night Lights- I can't believe there's only two episodes left, right when its getting really good. Heh, they were able to get Jason back for an ep, but not Smash? But at least he got a mention, and it seems like he's doing good.
So Tim's out of jail, but things aren't all rainbows and roses for the Riggins + Becky. Tim is still very resentful, though its not like he was all innocent in all this. I mean, sure, it was Billy who started the whole chop shop thing, but its not like Tim was dragged into it. He was fine with chopping up cars to get his land. So its not like he's a totally innocent man who took one for his brother. In any case, Tim has a big chip on his shoulder over the whole thing, and Billy still feels terrible. And it seems like Tim has pretty high expectations of everybody. Like he tells Billy he was supposed to make something of himself, lest Tim's sacrifice be in vain. And apparently Billy's life isn't "good enough". I mean, its not great, but I think they're making a living. Their doing better than some folks.
And his disdain isn't limited only to his actual family. He's kinda pissed at Becky for working at the bar, even if its only a waitress. Though I can see his worry, its not a far step from going from waitressing to stripping once she's old enough and needs the money. He gets kinda pissed when he feels a customer is getting too familiar with her, and ends up getting her fired by revealing her age, and manages to punch out Billy in the parking lot and making him cry. Billy just doesn't know what he can do to ever make it up to him.
And, he manages to also screw up Becky's relationship with Luke. She doesn't cheat on Luke or anything, but Luke ends up having enough with Becky hanging around Tim all the time, he knows she has a thing for him. Despite his anger though, he knows how assy he's being to his family (Becky included) so he decides to take off and live in his trailer.
Things aren't going too well for Vince either. Or at least in his family life. Ornette, no longer having the whole getting his son recruited to occupy his time, has finally fallen to his old ways. All the way to the point where his mom changes the locks on him before his toxicity brings her back down. She ends up having to miss seeing Vince play in the semis to go to a meeting. And its a very sweet moment, when Vince comes back, having won the game to take the Lions to state, where he's looking for his mom, hoping she's there at the big after celebration, and then he finally spots her.
Also, just as Coach ends up giving up that college coaching position, budget cuts are coming. And it turns out that after this school year, Dillon is going back to a one football team town. On the one hand, East Dillon is a team going to state. But Ida know, the Panthers seems to have a much richer history and way more backing. I'm not sure the folks in charge would support the "ghetto" team, even if they end up being state champions. But there's nothing Coach can really do but hope.
But not everything is so glum! Jess is wanting to move up from equipment manager, and is wanting to get the experience necessary to become a coach. Of course, the assistant coaches all laugh at her, and Coach is none too pleased she went to another team's game and taped it. But, she's so earnest about it, that Coach finally acquiesces and let's her shadow him.
Also, the thing with the lady last ep? She was from fancy east coast college, who wanted her to try out for an assistant dean of admissions position. She doesn't get it. But only because she's offered the dean of admissions position! Interesting. So Coach's future as coach is in question, and now Tami has this tremendous opportunity out of state? Wonder how things are gonna turn out?
