geebsHey, a post not about TV! Since I thought they were interesting, here's my answers for the last couple of "writer's block of the day" questions:
If you unexpectedly won $10,000, how would you spend it? Sadly, if this happened right now, I'd just use it to pay off the car loan and such. Now, if I didn't have loans to worry about, then I'd prolly waste it on guns and fancy electronic gadgets. Of course, even getting all 3 game systems (wii, xbox 360 and ps3) a fancy TV to go with it, and let's say, Rock Band 3 with the non-pro instruments, that's only a couple of thousand. Add upgrading my phone's memory, getting a TB portable hard drive, and a 3.8 inch Springfield Armory XD-M, that's still $7000 left to spend. I mean, there are a couple of other handguns and electronic goodies I could buy, but nowhere near $7000 worth.
If you bumped into someone who regularly picked on you as a child, what would you say to them? Actually, I'd prolly just ignore all that and give them the minimal amount of time you would give an old classmate. You know, ask "What's up?" and feign interest in their dull livfe. I mean, kids are stupid, all that stuff was inconsequential in the scheme of things, why bring up something so silly and create an awkward moment? Take my childhood nemesis for example, a guy who once followed me home and harangued me for a while for not giving him the proper respect by not letting myself get bullied by him. Its like, even back then, I thought it was more ridiculous than anything. If he wanted to waste an hour of his life yelling at me how I better respect him, whatever. But I guess that's all he could do, since I wasn't threatened by him despite the size difference and knew I would fight back if he tried to get physical. Of course, I was kinda delusional when I was a kid. I wouldn't have wanted to get into a fight with a bully not because I was afraid I'd get my ass kicked, but because I was worried I'd end up hurting them and they'd run home to mommy and I'd be the one getting in trouble. Like I'd imagine being called to the principal's office and them not believing me that they started it, only that the bully was the one who was hurt so obviously I'm at fault.
But I digress. How would that even come up in conversation? You bump into them, and be all, "Hey, remember when you were a total a-hole to me when we were kids!?" And then what, come up with some clever retort that will make them regret their stupid behavior from years ago?
