TV Commentary:
Friday Night Lights- Wait, do the players not really know why Coach forfeited the game last year? Or was Vince trying to act like a tough guy? I mean, I couldn't tell if he meant he didn't know why like he really didn't know why (even though I thought it was pretty obvious he was trying to make sure they didn't get seriously injured), or if he was being all, "I dunno why coach did it, we coulda taken it!"
In any case, I did like the interactions between the players this ep. Its the first time the Lions seemed to have the camaraderie of the Panthers from the previous seasons, I think. But what idiots brand themselves? They could get infected!
And really, how old is TAs wife? I mean, confronting Julie, okay, that's fine. But who goes around yelling "Julie Taylor's a slut!"? But heh, so apparently Julie wasn't the first he pulled this whole "Oh, I'm stuck in a loveless marriage!" schtick on? And then she goes home crying to mom? Okay, she wasn't crying, but wait, did she just run home to take a break, or is she gonna tell her mom that she's been screwing her TA?
And wait, are they implying Coach is slowly becoming an alcoholic?
Vampire Diaries- Heh, you know Damon was doing a happy little dance inside when Elena was all she doesn't want anyone she cares about getting hurt and she was including him in that group. But I don't see what people are saying about Damon being controlling and abusive? For being forceful because he doesn't wanting Elena to basically get herself killed?
Of course, I don't know why he jerkily shot down the Germ's idea! Since Jeremy was all worried about Bonnie, he was gonna end up doing something stupid like he did. But it wasn't that stupid actually. With the ring, he was somewhat safe, and unlike them, he could go in without getting trapped. I think they could come up with a plan better than him running in alone or one that involved Bonnie risking her life to temporarily take the barrier down if they just worked together.
I actually won't fault Jeremy for staking Kat. I mean, he talked a big talk about wanting to kill her after all that she's done, but truthfully, I think the fact she looks exactly like Elena must give him some pause. Like I don't think Stefan and Damon are hesitant to kill her just because they had a thing all those years ago. Even though they are different people (its a testament to Nina Dobrev that you tend to forget they're played by the same actress), it still has got to freak you out to kill someone who looks exactly like someone you love.
But because of their collective foolishness, Stefan is trapped with Kat. (although, trapped with a smoking hot chick who's hot for you, "Oh no!") But with little brother trapped with Kat, will something start happening with Elena and Damon? Though the ep where he confessed his love to her seems to indicate he would not do that to Damon. But the previews look like its Stefan who'll be tempted. Though again, can you blame him, have you seen Katherine? Heh, yes Kat, it would be quite interesting if you and the Salvatores were trapped together. Whatever will you crazy kids do?! ("heh.") I wonder if there's any fic about that. Or something involving a threesome with Kat and Elena.
But I digress, enough horn-dogginess. So wait, Elijah might not be representing Klaus' interests? That seems like a cheap twist though to "save" Elena and Damon there at the end- to make it look like he was about to capture them, and he just walks away. (And ha, did Rose just run off?! That's hilarious!) So what is his agenda?
Other happenings? Luka teaches Bonnie about how to channel other witches' powers to be able to perform more powerful spells without killing oneself. And Caroline and Tyler bond over his upcoming situation. Looks like Mason left behind a diary (complete with video) chronicling his first transformation- which apparently is the most excruciating thing ever, and the first time takes hours. So he's freaking out, but Caroline helps him out. Heh, and then Matt shows up. Now, when Tyler revealed he was there, was he purposely trying to make it look like something was happening between them? I mean, I'm assuming they're going for a vampire-human-werewolf triangle between her and Matt and Tyler. But heh, she's the one who's the vampire. So does that make Matt Kristen Stewart?
The Office- So Pam's victory over Dwight was orchestrated by him himself because he felt sorry for her? Ah'm skeptical. Also, I don't know why I found that whole part with the other Pam so hysterical.
But wait, was Oscar always kinda douche-y like that?
