Walking Dead- Interesting, definitely more characters here on the show than we had in the comic.
clevemire had told me something about the writer having kinda gone full throttle with the plot in the comics since at the time things were getting canceled left and right. But I guess now that its a relatively popular comic series, he no longer has to worry about that? Because it seems like things have "slowed down" a little these past several issues. In any case, with the TV series, they can go a little slower and do a little more development?
But yeah, slight deviations from the comic already- the voice on the radio was indeed Glenn, but rather than finding Rick on his own, he had actually gone into the city with a small group, which includes Andrea, but has a whole bunch of non-comic characters.
I noticed Shane was in the credits, so I'm kinda curious if the first "season", they won't even progress past the campground part, meaning he and Amy will not bite it until the end. I dunno if they'll change the plot around, though I don't think they can get away with not killing Shane, as I think that's a pretty integral plot point for Rick and Carl. But I think they've already foreshadowed Amy's death, the way Andrea was wistfully talking about her. You don't have a character talk about someone like that in this genre without having them ending up devastated when the person they're talking about bites it.
But anyways, with the addition of so many new characters, I guess they can ramp up the number of people getting offed as the plot progresses.
