geebsIts Friday, which means the leaks of the upcoming Glee songs are out. One Love, Teenage Dream, and the "Stop In The Name of Love/Free Your Mind" mashup are here. The "Start Me Up/Livin' On a Prayer" mashup is here at Perez Hilton.
Teenage Dream- I'm a huge fan of the original song, but I like the choir-ification they did here. Its apparently done by Darren Criss' new character and his school's glee club. People act like he's someone famous in the musical world, but I'm unfamiliar. Oh, apparently he was Harry Potter in the Harry Potter musical. There was a Harry Potter musical?!
One Love- Puck and Artie in this one? I like it, its a pretty, mellow sounding song.
Start Me Up/Livin' On a Prayer- I think it was a big mistake to use Livin' On a Prayer in a mashup, as right there you'll already get a lot of haters amongst the people who were dying to hear this song done (even though Jimmy Fallon already did it in the first Glee-inspired skit on his show) but find out its being mashed up with something else. It was the greatest song of the 80s, according to VH-1! In any case, its an okay mash-up, its not discordant like some of their bad mash-ups, it just seems, I dunno, uninspired. Like Livin' On a Prayer is one of those songs when I hear, I just wanna shout and sing along to, but I'm not feeling it here.
Stop in the Name of Love/Free Your Mind- Like the girl's mashup in this ep, its not bad, but its certainly not as enjoyable as "Its My Life/Confessions Pt II". Plus, I'm not a fan of how the chorus sounds.
