Man, I am not looking forward to next Monday, when every network channel has a show I watch at 8pm- HIMYM on CBS, Chuck on NBC, House on Fox, 90210 on CW.
Gossip Girl- Interesting, so Chuck, guilty over what a scum bag he's been uses his near death experience to forge a new identity and live with some French girl?
I'm kinda curious if Milo is Dan's or not? I guess we hear a doc confirm it on the phone, but still. But now that Georgina got Dan to sign the birth certificate, she's abandoned little Milo to him. I wonder what that was all about, some weird Russian mob scam? Does the birth certificate somehow get her access to the Van Der Bass fortune (I'm not sure if the Van Der Woodsen part is as significant compared to the Bass part though. I mean, the VdWs are obviously rich, but the Bass money seemed bigger than them) through Rufus' marriage to Lily? (And I was amused by V's "I don't want to hear about her Geor-gyna!" line. HA!)
Ah, and poor Blair. I get her concerns when it comes to Serena. Although seriously, Serena has a hot body and all, but as I've said before, she wouldn't get a second look from me compared to Blair. Although honestly, given what's his face from s2 being secret royalty, how could she not think maybe the French guy was playing the same trick?
And I'm jealous that Nate somehow has access to Rock Band 3. Well, that and all the hotties. Hmm, I wonder what Katie Cassidy's character is all about? Some weird stalker using Gossip Girl to track our favorite UESers? Wait, they weren't implying she was Gossip Girl, were they?
True Blood- Suckeh's intense glee when she taunted Russell by dumping Talbot's remains down the garbage disposal was kinda hilarous. But also extremely mean and cruel! Sure, Russell's a psychotic evil bastard, but pouring his true love's remains down the sink? Harsh! Maybe its because I'm a nice guy. Like in the movie The Chumscrubbers, the main antagonist was this psycho bully who wanted to join the Air Force and fly jets. And in the end, even though he was about to kill a kid, the kid fights back and ends up taking the knife that was about to be used to stab him to slash the bully's eye. Which basically destroyed the bully's chances of ever becoming a fighter pilot. And its just another one of my weird idiosyncrasies, but had the kid just killed the prick, I would've cheered. But maiming the guy like that and taking away his one dream from him like that is overly-excessive to me. I mean, obviously being killed would cause him not to be able to fulfill his dream either. So from the post from a while ago, I'm apparently fine with graphic ultra-violence, as long as its done on a "bad guy", but crushing a bad guy's hopes and dreams is over the line for me? Like I would be okay with some evil dick getting his arm cut off, except if he was like this star quarterback who was wanting to use his golden arm to get out of the podunk town he lived in? But I digress. Seriously, burnt-flakey Russell was one of the grossest things I've ever seen.
So Felton has been on V this whole time? Which is kinda amusing given Calvin wanted Crystal to breed with Felton b/c he felt now his blood was tainted because of the blood Lafayette used to save him. But wow, so Crystal goes with Felton to save Jason's life, but I'm kinda amused that she's basically, "I'm going with him so you'll live. Oh yeah, and plz take care of all my retarded inbred relatives now that my daddy's dead and they have no leader!" And that's kinda hilarious that Jason didn't know his own license plate. Though in all fairness, I don't think I know my own plate off the top of my head.
I'm amused Tara seems like she's basically checked out of all this. I mean, Sam admits to her she's a shifter, right when she's been sick and tired of all these supernaturals in her life. (She really didn't know about him already? Weird!) Then she catches her mom screwing the reverend, who's married? But hey, she seemed genuinely happy for her mom that she was happy. Even though Lettie Mae is kidding herself if she thinks she'll be a preacher's wife. Because yeah, I'm sure their congregation will be fine with the preacher cheating on his wife with another woman, then leaving her and marrying the woman he was commiting adultery with. But yeah, she gets a new haircut, ends up making up with Sookie. Though upon hearing about all the vampire and werewolf shit, again, she's over that stuff. So she drives by Merlotte's one last time to look at it wistfully before driving off for parts unknown.
Speaking of Merlotte's, Sam makes nice with everyone. Until he finds Tommy stole his money, and he grabs a gun and hunts down the little shit. I can see what Tommy was upset about, Sam comes and "rescues" him, then tosses him out like trash all of a sudden. (Heh, I was totally amused when Tommy was all "I can't read!") But Tommy thinks Sam won't shoot, but we do see him fire, though we don't see if he actually hits Tommy.
And Lafayette is going nuts- and apparently Jesus is a witch! I mean, they hinted that, but I guess with the V-tripping, I thought he was just familiar with magic. But apparently he had been taught stuff, he just stopped doing it for a while.
And okay, Summer and Maxine's "intervention" on Hoyt was pretty hilarious, particularly when they started crying all over each other when it didn't work. Anyways, Hoyt gets he and Jessica a place to live, and proposes to her, which makes me fear for them, what with one of Summer's dolls lying on the floor of the new house, unnoticed by Hoyt or Jessica, and Maxine buying a gun. My guess, she'll try to shoot Jessica, and end up killing her son instead?
Heh, Sookie gets around. Despite all that's happened, she goes to save Eric when she finds out he intends to kill himself, then she's like a cat in heat when Alcide shows up. I'm amused she was all "Oh, you came to help me!" and was kinda disappointed when she found out Eric had called him. But with Eric and Bill's betrayals, she's totally wet for Alcide right now. (But ha, Eric telling Bill and Alcide, "If you too are finished eye-fucking each other...") But basically, Eric will clear all of Alcide's daddy's debts if he helps them encase Russell in concrete.
I was wondering why Eric didn't just kill him, but amusingly enough, he had been getting visions from Godric all "peace is the way". Which only made Eric fear that Russell might find peace and happiness in the afterlife, so he's just gonna entomb him alive rather than let him die. Wait, do vampires not starve to death if deprived of blood for too long? (I guess that's what torpor is supposed to be) Anyhoo, Bill and Eric seem to think he'll go mad being stuck in there so long with his grief, but I think they should worry a little about Russell's claim that he'll use the time to plot revenge on them. But hey, they prolly won't have to worry about it for at least a century they say. But given Eric started overtly speaking to Godric's ghost, Bill is thinking maybe Russell's not the only madman. And looks like Eric has sorely disappointed Godric (figment or not). As if to solidify the point to Eric that hatred is not the way, Bill seizes the opportunity to backstab Eric and dump him in his own concrete tomb, then impersonate him on the phone to send some Ruben guy after Pam. (I was worried about her, but it turned out it was a non-issue, she easily dispatched him off screen)
Heh, and I'm amused that Sookie renounced her invitation to Eric and Bill to her house, but then Bill shows up later and she lets him back in. She's sure fickle. And shocked to hear Bill say he ended Eric. And wow, Bill's conceited! Other vamps aren't as good and compassionate as he, and even if they were as nice as he, they wouldn't have his self control. Hence why he has to kill any vamps who know what Sookie is. And then swearing he will kill anyone who knows or finds out what she is? Way to sound like a psycho! And he says he's doing it out of love?
But ha, Eric apparently escaped his predicament (as he was not as chained up as Russell) and reveals to Sookie that Bill was originally sent after her by the Sophie Anne (which Bill tries to play off as "Sure, but then I grew to love you!") but then the reveal that he let those white trash people from the pilot viciously attack her to find out more about her (and feeding her his blood for the blood bond) is too much, even for Sookie. She feels the whole thing between her and Bill is a lie, so she rescinds the invitation (that she just re-instated) to Bill "forever", though he claims he still and will always love her. Once he's gone, she lays into Eric as well, who apologizes, but "she had to know about Bill".
So, with Bill having nothing left to lose, he challenges Sophie Anne, feeling this "nothing left to lose" thing will make up for the age diff. And we end with Sookie, all upset about the whole Bill thing, crying to Gran, then Claudine shows up and invites her to Fairyland or some such shit. All in all, kinda a meh end to the season.
