90210- What the EFF?! I was baffled by the beginning, where Annie and Dixon are back in school like everything is all normal. And I was trying to remember last season's finale, like didn't she finally reveal to her parents that she killed a guy? But apparently she only got house arrest and probation until she was 25. Ida know, mebbe it was because she was underage, but seriously, only a summer of house arrest for KILLING A GUY IN A HIT AND RUN?! And if that wasn't ridiculous enough, Mr. Matthews proclaims Annie has "paid her dues", so she should get on with her life.
And didn't they do this Ivy-Dixon-Oscar storyline with Adrianna-Navid-Teddy at the beginning of last season? I mean, Ivy tries to act like Dixon is being insanely jealous for nothing, much like Ade was with Navid. But then she's apparently having sex dreams about Oscar, indicating she does have feelings that Dixon should indeed be wary off, just like Adrianna had a thing for Teddy even though she insisted Navid has no need to freak out? But Ivy tells Oscar straight out she's off limits, and he's all, "well, if you change you mind, I'm right down the hall!" What is this, SLotAT?! But then he's actually banging her mom? Wow, what a classy guy! He's banging the mom, and he's trying to get with the daughter?!
Getting back to Teddy, a bookcase drops on his leg during an earthquake, and he immediately starts playing a practice match that afternoon?! And he's surprised when he blows his knee?! And of course, now he's all boo-hoo and will prolly blow his relationship with Silver? "You don't know what its like because you've never been great at anything?!" Wow, what a jerk!
And oh please, the car crash with Javier and Adrianna, they try to act like "OMG, someone's dead on arrival?! Is it Ade?" As soon as he said, "This book has 10 hit songs right here!" and the limo got t-boned, I already figured Javier would die or end up in a coma, and Adrianna would end up with the book! Ah, but I thought it was just gonna be Javier's a-holish behavior in the limo (heh, they had to get a Glee club reference in there) that freaked her out that would cause her to steal the songs, but I guess Laurel telling her that the studio has cooled towards her was the true motivating factor. I can understand her desperation, but I'm sure its gonna end up that there has been someone who has heard those songs. And ouch, Navid saying its the best thing she ever wrote? Oops.
I was worried they'd drag out the Naomi thing (wait, so what's his face attacked her, but didn't actually rape her yet?) with her not wanting to tell anyone given she cried wolf about him before, but she told that cop lady (where have I seen her before?). But please, what's with the Kardashians cameo? Talk about a blatant ratings grab. Apparently Naomi is on a first name basis with them? Anyways, that part where the hammered guy is all "you're hot!" to Naomi, but then tells her she seems different, and likens her to "shell-shocked Katie Holmes after she got with Tom Cruise"? That was totally hilarious. But what the hell, so this whole deal with British teacher guy has turned her into someone who will have a gangbang with total strangers?! Teddy coming to her "rescue" though was kinda unexpected.
And then Silver catches Naomi with her arms around Teddy and assumes the worst. And uh-oh, she gets rapist teacher guy as an advisor and is excited about it. And given Naomi's lie from last year, and now this, she's not likely to believe Naomi if she tries to warn her.
But what the? So Annie tries out for that internship that Mr. Matthews told her about, but an aftershock from the earthquake makes her realize there are always aftershocks from something big, so she comes clean about the house arrest rather than lying. She acts like even though she prolly won't get the internship, she feels like a weight has been lifted off her chest that she can talk about what she did, but c'mon, I'll eat my hat if the lady doesn't give it to her for her "refreshing honesty"! (And I was right! And she even used "I admired your honesty!") Oh weird, I did not realize she was keeping her distance from Liam because of Naomi. Wow, she takes that loyalty thing seriously.
