geebsSo, since we were talking about it earlier in the day, hit "Yeah! Burger" for dinner with the usual suspects. It was definitely way better than Flip Burger down the road- I liked my Bison burger, and the ex-roomie and roomie seem to think the turkey burger was amazing. They do have a lot more options than Five Guys- different cheeses, chili, avocado, several different sauces. And you can get more than one sauce! I did a mix of "Duke's Mayo" and "Black Peppercorn Steak Sauce". I also learned their "Bacon Jam" sauce, while tasty, is a poor choice for a dipping sauce. I mean, it tasted great, but since it was basically just pieces of bacon coated with a thick, sweet sauce, it was hard to dip fries and onion rings in it.
TV Commentary:
Degrassi- Hey, Riley's finally out and he and Zane are an official couple now. And while I did find the whole fessing up to the college scout he was gay, and the scout being, "Well, that's perfectly fine!" silly (Ida know, mebbe I'm cynical, but I would think sexuality is still a hot button topic in sports and being a homosexual would hurt his chances), you know what I find sillier? That the whole wondering what the college scout will think of his sexuality ended up being a non issue and his real plot thread for these set of eps was finding out that sometimes really bad things happen to famous gays who are out in the open. I mean, if he was totally clueless about that, then what in the world was he worried about with his sexuality coming out before if not that? He was obviously afraid before, but if not of that, then what?
And dick move by Drew to possibly cheat on Alli with Bianca. I mean, on the one hand, he's a teenage boy, so even if he claims to really like Alli, I can see him being easily tempted, particularly by someone who looks like Bianca. But Bianca also threatened to kill his transgender brother if she came near her!
And he's not the only one overlooking things! What was up with Claire, Alli, and Jenna hanging out before the dance?! And does Claire know that Jenna is carrying KC's child?! She has to, I don't believe Alli would keep that a secret from Claire! I guess maybe she does believe the forgive and forget mantra she's been telling Eli. But yeah, speaking of, while I do think Claire is naive to think going to the dance with Fitz will end he and Eli's feud, Eli's quite the little sociopath himself! I mean, even though Fitz has been a huge dick to him and Adam and has gotten very physical with them, his revenge plans for Fitz have been crazy! And the tactic of making your enemy fear that you can hurt them worse than they can hurt you is pretty psycho for a HS-er. And not likely to work, since I don't see Fitz backing down, so those two are liable to end up hospitalizing or killing each other way before getting to the point where they can come to terms! Definitely curious to see how it all ends tomorrow!
